Default Front license plates

I may end up sounding like a whiny little girl, so if I do, I apologize.

I absolutely love my new car, but was a little mad when I saw the dealership had drilled holes in my bumper for me. One of my friends went to Bellevue to buy his new tC, and they didn't drill holes in his bumper, so I assumed Doxon wouldn't touch mine either. I was wrong.... I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I hate having these 2 stupid holes (where nothing is going to be covering it...) in my bumper. Does anyone think it would be worth it to see if a dealership would swap a brand new holeless bumper for mine? Or should I just suck it up and get over it....

You have to ask specially to not have holes drilled in it...
i forgot to ask when to not have holes drilled in on our new RS1 xD... .
otherwise if you dont ask...they drill away, think they may be legaly required to provide a place to attach the plate... but i could be wrong

Drilling the holes is part of the Pre-delivery Inspection that all dealers have to do before they put the cars on the lot. If the vehicle was sold prior to it being on the lot then all you have to do is tell them and they wont do it. otherwise they are just conforming to standard even though it sucks. the plugs do make it look a lot better like rosedaleny806 had mentioned.

Same. What's even better is when you get pulled over, and the cop notices the illegal window tint too. Perfect!

People seem to be having problems buying from i kona so I would probably buy from keytechniques. I keep saying I'm gonna buy bumper plugs and keyhole covers from him but I never get off my butt and do it.

Not 100% true. it depends on your state law. They are required to put a plate on the front if your state requires it. I baught my car and i was with them and as they were putting the rear on i told them not to put the front on. They told my by state law that they had to put a license plate on the front.

IN washington you are required to have a front plate mounted on the bumper.......best you can do is get plugs and a new mount for the plate to mount it in a differant location.....

No plate you will get tickets.......in the windshield you will get tickets.....short of it being a show car on the way to a show you will get tickets.....unless you are Brad....he never seems to get a ticket........

Good luck, i have an idea...why dont you get a copy of your front plate and have it copied to a t-shirt, just watch the expression on the officer when he asks where is your front plate and thats when you show him your shirt

even if you don't have the holes drilled, there are pilot 'dimples' where the holes are supposed to be drilled, so it's not like it'd have been perfectly smooth, there would still be little dimples on it where the holes were supposed to be.
