AvonLadyJenn 09-12-2008, 05:25 AM How do you get registered for this site? I registered last week...said they would send an email to activate.....never got one. Tried registering another email address same thing. Sent an email to the contact us...no response. They got no love for the Avon XB2 it seems :(
How long did it take for anyone else on that site to get the activation email? Who can I contact? huh huh? I want me some ClubXB LOL
Tomas 09-12-2008, 06:41 AM Last time I involved myself with ClubxB they were a little slow, but they did respond, but it has been quite a while since I was actively involved there (and it is NOT because I'm a mod here or anything, I just have a strong disagreement with the way they run things over there).
If you haven't been there yet, give THIS site a shot...

Nice folks there. :D
ratcityrain 09-12-2008, 03:55 PM i don't remember having any issues when I signed up, but that was awhile ago and I barely use that site as well
Matthews_Lewis_Racing6226 09-12-2008, 03:58 PM when i signed up, the activation came right away the first time i signed up...
flipguy206 09-12-2008, 04:02 PM did you try checking your spam boxes? sometimes when i sign up for stuff the activations get sent to my spam box and i have to accept whatever it is and tell my email that it's not spam
AvonLadyJenn 09-12-2008, 04:06 PM Yup checked spam.... :( No love for me from clubxb LOL
flipguy206 09-12-2008, 04:13 PM hmm well i dunno then...i guess just try logging in with the info you signed up with and see what happens lol
chapascion 09-12-2008, 04:21 PM I had no issues with signing up. The funny thing is a lot of the people in here are the ones you are chatting with.
AvonLadyJenn 09-12-2008, 04:39 PM Yeah I can get logged in...I can read posts...just can't post. Oh well guess it isn't meant to be :) Not that I don't enjoy it here...ya'll rock....
kkawana 09-12-2008, 04:44 PM their email reply thing may be doa.... i havent gotten an email from that sight sayin "xxxx thread has been replied to" or whatever. in like months
so sometimes i surprise my self and find threads i posted up in and forgot about...lmao
AvonLadyJenn 09-12-2008, 04:45 PM LOL that would explain it. Like I said just not meant to be I guess. LOL I can't even post that I was having issues...so it could be the email being DOA like you said.
callmemrbill 09-13-2008, 07:50 AM They seem to be a little slow. But I got my email quickly. I don't get on there to much. Boy that was helpful wasn't it......LOL
Mad_Sciontist001 09-13-2008, 06:14 PM It was pretty quick when I signed up but that was a few years ago. I very rarely go there anymore. I think maybe a half dozen times this last year. Mostly on SL but don't post here that much. I just lurk and throw out a comment now and then.
AvonLadyJenn 09-13-2008, 06:18 PM So it would seem I am really not missing anything. I did find a kewl site for XB2's newscionxb.com. Lots of DIY descriptions and stuff....that's where I found step by step instructions to do the guages. Doesn't seem like people are active there...but it was a good resource for information.
Metro273 09-13-2008, 06:20 PM I've been on there awhile myself and yes they can be slow at times but I've never had any complaints!
The one complaint I do have is that since it's only xB owners over there, it can get boring sometimes, especially since there aren't any tC owners to fight with, like over here... :silly:
Mad_Sciontist001 09-13-2008, 06:38 PM So it would seem I am really not missing anything. I did find a kewl site for XB2's newscionxb.com. No your not! When I had my first gen it was great with alot of info. I traded for my 2nd gen and alot of 1st gen people were pretty neg. So if I go there now I just look in the 2nd gen post.
ratcityrain 09-13-2008, 09:11 PM have you tried re-registering?
OakToddler 01-07-2009, 01:23 PM That place is very odd. All the requirements for posting. Seems like a core of the same 10 rude people constantly posting. Real unfreindly. It seems like that place is bad CARMA. I finally got my 10 posts but I will never go back.
OakToddler 01-07-2009, 01:25 PM My registration was immediate. though.
EAmon 01-07-2009, 01:33 PM that site has WAY too many post rules
u need X amount to do this
X amount to see that
blah blah blah
it just gets too annoying
OakToddler 01-07-2009, 01:51 PM convoluted for sure
all the advertising crap and junk coming at you-
it is busier than a paisley tie convention.....
OakToddler 01-07-2009, 07:37 PM Do you guys remember SCIONJUNKY?
I would say clubXb will be going that route.....
robbiej 01-07-2009, 07:51 PM ah yes, scionjunky, I remember that one.
Sciond 01-07-2009, 07:51 PM sl is soooooooooo much better IMO
kkawana 01-07-2009, 07:57 PM eh... clubxb isnt bad... just gotta find your way around... lots of good info on the xB stuff there with some die hard knowledge on styles, themes parts and fitment...
some of the rules arent horrible.. more just to protect people from getting scammed in selling/buying stuff
tho they do presume people know how to search b4 asking common questions on who/what /where parts are/do/found......
OakToddler 01-07-2009, 08:05 PM I guess the only thing I can say is that they basicly encourage you to post up with that weird regulation,
But then if the post is old you get crap for it...They are totaly rude about it too.
It is not like a year old post has gone bad....if it is such an issue then close the thread.
It is not nearly as active as SL and they seem like they really get carried away with themselves.
moonray 01-07-2009, 08:34 PM eh... clubxb isnt bad... just gotta find your way around... lots of good info on the xB stuff there with some die hard knowledge on styles, themes parts and fitment...

True. At one point it was being heavily spammed by porn and bad sellers ripping folks off so they changed up the rules for new people posting.
Metro273 01-08-2009, 12:41 AM ^^^Porn FTW!!!... :silly:
Tomas 01-08-2009, 12:58 AM I'm not going to badmouth another site, but even though I am one of the very early members over at ClubxB and was a VERY active poster there, for a number of reasons I only rarely go there these days. Just not worth the hassles.
There are other, better, more friendly xB sites.
Metro273 01-08-2009, 01:01 AM I go over there once in a blue moon. It just seems slow over there and like someone stated in an earlier post, it's ALWAYS the same guys posting.
EAmon 01-08-2009, 01:41 AM I go over there once in a blue moon. It just seems slow over there and like someone stated in an earlier post, it's ALWAYS the same guys posting.
u mean like Tony?
XD
OakToddler 01-08-2009, 02:38 AM It is obviously a very advertisement generated site, and the more you post on the threads the more oddly placed advertising you are exposed to. That appears to be the goal.
So, you would really want more than just the same group of 10 viewing the site.
M2-Motoring 01-08-2009, 06:17 AM ive never had a problem with club xb. it's not as big as SL, but it does have it's group of loyal users. ive noticed on clubxb is that yes they don't really tolerate newbies that dont read the ground rules. over here on SL, its about the same but newbs get mocked instead of just banned. but all in all its a great site. i like most all scion forums as its a great way of keeping in touch with everyone around the country.
Tomas 01-08-2009, 06:24 AM You on xBsite, Mike? I don't remember. :(
M2-Motoring 01-08-2009, 08:39 AM yes i am lol ive been on there since the beginning. the sites changed a lot over the past years.
Mad_Sciontist001 01-08-2009, 04:50 PM yes i am lol ive been on there since the beginning. the sites changed a lot over the past years.
Yes it has changed alot. I was on clubxb for a couple years and it really was a great site. I learned alot about ways to mod my 1st gen and fitment etc. It really stared to change about 2 years ago so I signed up on SL and very rarely go there anymore.
Metro273 01-09-2009, 01:06 AM ^^^SL FTW!!!...
EAmon 01-09-2009, 01:10 AM ^^^ScionLife FTW!!!...
hmm that makes me wanna make a decal
Scionlife > ClubxB
XD
OakToddler 01-09-2009, 12:40 PM I would love to see something in writing about the "GROUND RULES", for things like old threads.
It's kind of humorous.....one person responds to an old thread and then 5 other people attack him for bringing up an old thread on the old thread.....how stupid is that?
And if it is a rule? Then the attackers are just as silly.
Seems like everyone thinks they are a moderator over there.
Too many chefs in the kitchen.
I like the big fat bulging stomach ads between the threads too....
Sciond 01-10-2009, 01:44 AM LOL and folks complain about us!
Tomas 01-10-2009, 01:57 AM Be nice. :)
Staff shouldn't badmouth other sites. :D
(I save my gripes about them for another site that is decidedly NOT a car site, and doesn't have the rules we have here.)
Metro273 01-10-2009, 04:10 AM ^^^Get him Tomas!... :P
Tomas 01-10-2009, 08:05 AM Naw. Just poking at him to see if he jumps.
Sciond 01-10-2009, 08:18 PM BOOOOOOING.......not bad mouthing at all
actually my point was that we take some grief here for what we do and as a whole we are fair and do a good job...there may be worse out there....
dezertrider 01-12-2009, 03:47 PM I enjoy clubxb. Got some interesting articles and have bought a few things from a couple of folks. Nice people over there IMO. The only issue I got is they always tell you to use the search button, but the search button takes you all over the map and you can never find what you're looking for. It's a PITA. Other than that, no probs. In fact, they're why I'm on here.
OakToddler 01-22-2009, 11:18 PM I was just on clubxb trying to get some info and again its the same 10 people justifying rude behavior complaining about "NOOBS". I just read the threads. No point in signing on unless you need the pics or diagrams.
:loser:
kkawana 01-22-2009, 11:33 PM one plus for clubxB... i can go to the classifieds and find xB stuff.. not tC (majority) like here...lol
Matthews_Lewis_Racing6226 01-22-2009, 11:44 PM one plus for clubxB... i can go to the classifieds and find xB stuff.. not tC (majority) like here...lol
x2^ agreed i like the classifides on clubxb better
