Have ya'll ever heard of this?
I was at the exhaust shop fixing my muffler (it had a bad rattle at idle and start up, but problem solved) and they guy ask me have i looked into getting new motor mounts. I was puzzled when he asked me but he said that i should look into getting some that are poly-urethane. He popped my hood and he showed me the one in front of the header in the engine bay and the one to the left of the motor he said was fine. Ive never really heard of this and he said that it would give me more torque to the wheels.....
Any thoughts or comments on this? Ive never heard of it. Just thought id ask and see if yall knew anything about this
Thanks

its not really more torque.. the torque winds up there.. but much like an engine damper.. the torque transfer is instant
with the upgrade.. instead of the motor rocking back first.. an engine damper on my first gen really changed my off the
line launches as well as gear shifts for the better.. its only an instant that the power is transfred to rock the engine..
but when you gain that back, and you get instant power to the wheels, it can make a difference.. he wasnt lying..

new engine dampers are not a new thing. by stiffening up the motor mounts you transfer the torque better and by limiting the movement of the engine you get slightly better handling too because the engine doesnt shift around as much.
this will cause considerably more vibration though. because your engine mounts have gotten harder more vibration will be transfered to the car. youll definately feel it in stop and go traffic
i dont know if there are new mounts for us yet but i would think you can use the tC ones if you really wanted to...

well i do have an ingalls etd installed and you'll be surprised how quiet it is. most of my passengers didn't notice i have a etd until i tell them but they'll ask me what i do to my car before i told them. they notice how my car accelerate and brake the transition feel very smooth even while i change gears ( 5spd ) there's is a slight increase in the engine noise department but there's no vibrations

NoLimitz reps Weapon-R, and they have a nice engine damper.
