The owner had his XA bumped out to 1.7 liters, threw in a lot of new internals, upgraded the fuel deliverysystem and added a turbo

I just came back from borders and found the Import Tuner Jan 2005 issued but no sign of xA. Would it have possibly been Dec issue?

Hunsaker66's xA was on page 188 of the Jan 05 Super Street, but I don't think that's what you're talking about.

The date on magazines are always a month ahead even more during the holidays...Think Playboy December holiday special arriving in late october. Anyway, its got a chick leaning up on a yellow Evo on the cover. Check the newstand I just got it this morning.

The article was ok , the pics sucked imo.. i was all ready to subscribe to this mag but after picking up jan and feb issues i think the mag is more about pics of chicks.. ok this isent all bad but sorry i wanted more details and more pics of the car.

Custom tri-stage Sunset Orange /w black roof and Cf hood and gold 17's. i dig the paint but the gold wheels dont work for me. Very cool car tho.

It's been said by friends of EL Prototypes that the article is far fetched. Don't try and flame me... it's just what has been said. I don't know how believable it is either, they haven't been able to furnish any parts I've asked for.

Well in reality they DO HAVE 215hp at the flywheel...but it ain't on no stroked block.

That's the beauty of a weak ___ magazine like Import Tuner, you tell em what you got and they don't even question it.

But congrats to Paul...that's the farthest anyones got with their xA fo sho...and I'm not just talkin bout the engine.

yeah showpajoe is right, magazines dont print the actual numbers sometimes. most of the time they go with what the car owners says. they have been none to write articles on cars that have turbo this and nos that and other spectacular stuff to create huge numbers but what ppl dont know is that its just a show car and it doesnt even work. sometimes they just install the turbo for the article and for show.\

you don't stroke the block, you stroke the crank...
so it could be a stroked motor, but its the crank that is stroked...
