I have an 05 Xb and the front left door lock actuator no longer works. I have been looking online for a replacement actuator for a good price. The closest thing I have found is an Xa front left door lock actuator. Does anyone know if this is the same mechanism/design as the one in the Xb or if it would fit/work properly?

are these parts exactly interchangeable?

According to toyodiy, the actuators for each car are different.
xB part number is 69120-52030
the xA's i called a lock assembly w/motor, part number 69040-33221

I concur, the locks/locking mech. are different on both cars.
