When you first drove your tC... what was it like?
Post what your experience was like when you first fired up your tC and drove it down the street!
For me it was on a test drive. I already liked the car, I liked all the nifty features on it. But when I first got behind the wheel, I was sold after the first two blocks. That car handled way better than anything I drove before. It was nice and quick for a 4 banger too, and made a pretty nice sound. I bought it the next day.
What about you guys?

btw that was on the test drive.... and the salesman jokingly told me i HAD to buy the car after that hahaha, i told him dont worry ill take it
I had driven about a year with a manual subaru legacy gt and subura's clutchs are a lot stiffer so when i got in the scion it was like pushing a feather rather than a brick hahaha. IT was nice tho.. it felt weird at frist the car was fwd instead of awd and i sat a little higher up soo i felt like i was tipping over on corners, but i got used to it quick. bought it that day on the test drive. Traded in the legacy.. still got the tC now,, and still loving it hahaha there too fun.
So excited to have my first brand new car with everything I wanted! I paused at the dealership exit and checked to make sure I started my insurance on the right date. I was so scared that I forgot something small. I was also very jumpy too even after driving stick for 2 to 3 years. I was trying to look cool but I gave up at the 2nd stop light. But that next day I lit up the tires on a steep hill with my mom in the car. She said she was glad I did it and she didn't.
yea, it was a huge difference cause i've was driving a 1989 camry wagon before I got the Tc, i went for a test drive and the first thing i noticed was the ridiculous handling on it, the car is still surprising me when ever I look down at the spedometer and see that i'm doing 60 when it feels like im doing 25.
the very first time i drove it i wasnt intending on buying a tc... i just drove it cause my friend had one and his was getting an oil change so i test drove one. it had the ped.spoiler and i couldnt see anything also the back headrests were all up. and the pedals felt weird to me.
the second time i drove one i loved it... and bought it!

Happy, but crappy.
It was my first time ever... DRIVING and DRIVING STICK.
My dad was like, it's easy as pie!
I jumped in and did everything myself guessing.
I got the hang of it though.
I loved it though.

To think back on it now it's crazy but at first I hated it. This was early Aug. 04. and my previous car was a celica GT so I could feel the lack of 'pep' on the pedal...BUT I neeed a new ride and after viewing all the features, sunroof, and seeing all the seats fold down I went home thought about it some more, my family toyota brand loyalty and a week later put my order in. When I went to pick my bsp about 3 wks later and had that first drive in MY car I knew I made the right choice - and being stopped at just about every light w/ everybody asking questions and staring like crazy didnn't hurt either

) .. Now, well....you know.
