i am looking to find the gearing ratios for the xA or xB manual transmissions...

i cant seem to find them...

That's awesome - let me add my thanks. Any idea what an AT is turning, in RPM, at 80 mph? My MT is turning a numbing 4,000 RPM.

what's the difference between our gear box, and the echo?

gears and housing...(echos have a c154 housing..and lower final gear sets)

kind of figured that. wanted to knoe #'s just for the hell of it. Might go with that tranny to save me some gas, since I communte a lot, and stay in yhe 80mph range more then 55mph

same gears....final drive is 3.722 or 3.5?? depending on the model...(sedan or hatch...)

so if I get a sedan final gear for a 3.722 or so that would get my RPM to what on 5? at 80mph?

alot less than the 4000 with our stock tranny's

it would make it 3400 @ 80 in 5th...its sweet..

its a mixed bag...at 60-70mph you need to be in 4th to move...
the rpms in 5th would be too low (below the power band) to keep up with traffic...
so you end up riding 4th a lot more...and the rpms are even higher that 5th would have been...

boy, i've learned a lot in three months...i just saw that i started this thread...lol

All i know is even with our unique gearing I can get about 55mph in 2nd gear so not too shabby.

Did i hear IST or GT4?!?!?!? Someone please confirm you can race an IST so i can rush to buy it.

Ashe_WCM said hes gunna use the gear ratios for his IST on GT4. I was under the assumption that our cars werent in the game. But since it seems they are im buying the game to use it to see what my car will look like if i swap parts.

dghotlava Your complaining about running at 70 and having to down shift?? I am also running a tire that is 15% larger than stock. I stay in 5th the whole time on the highway even passing. Booooooooost you know what I'm talking about. :rofl:

yeah, the boost does help...

more so when you are running those big shoes...

Actually there is NO Ist in the USDM version of GT4. But it does have Scions (no tC tho)
