Default LED swappers, how bout AEM gauges LED swap?

Any one thought about changing LEDs on AEM gauges? AEM gauges are pretty popular and i was thinking how difficult is it to do the color change..
I trying to make it match my whole interior

I am sure it can be done. I would just need to take one apart to figure out what type of LEDs it requires.

If you take them apart and can send me pics, I can see what leds it takes. Something to reference size next to one will help.

I will then need to know what the stock color is (that will tell me a bunch about what voltage is available to power the leds)

From that, I should have a pretty good idea of what I need. After, you can send them my way and I will swap them. I may need them a couple of days in the case I have to order some components last minute, but it shouldnt be hard at all. Seeing the pics before hand will probably up the chances that I can have everything I need in hand before I get your gauges. If so, I wont have to see them for the first time, order parts, then do the work, which would mean I have them longer.

If you want to send them my way, hit me up at engifineer@gmail.com and we can work out the details.

I hate my AEM gauge. It's so ugly and boring compared to my Prosports.

What exactly are you trying to change on it...

When I looked at the gauge, it had about 16 individual lights for the warning system (green to yellow). No clue what's behind the numerical readout though. Either way, it will never match the sexiness or a Prosport or Defi .

The front pcb board can be easily xposed, its only have the face plate and a film that covers it

fine leds, i dont know how to crack it open to expose the back of the board though, i'll let the pros figure it out

im hoping this mod can be done or at least cost wise not too expensive, then im sure many will be sending their gauges

I already have a lead on some, just not the colors anyone would want. and still trying to find out the specs. I will keep looking. If you do have a chance, can you email me the measurements of them in MM ? Or at least as close as you can measure?

Would you not have to completely replace the 3 seven segment displays with colored seven segment displays? I've never actually seen anything other than red and green 7-segs.
