I got my spacer shims from Van at OneTonGarage yesterday...

The shims are VERY nicely finished and great quality. All needed parts are included.

The intall was easy and straight forward. Van's instructions are good but one WARNING: watch the ABS plug on the hub. I hit mine and broke a piece off. I fixed it with CA glue and good 'ol duct tape. :D

These are 5mm shims so the final result is subtle. When I finished the first one and looked at the other side the difference was obvious. Basically the car looks how it should have from the factory. Instead of having a sunken in look on the rear well it looks more full. I'm considering adding the 5mm wheel spacers, which work with the shims, and go for a more aggressive stance.

Take a look at the pic carefully and you will see the difference. I was careful to take both pics from the same angle to show the true difference. The second pic is just to show my RS with TRD springs and the shims. :)

Thanks!

I think another 5mm will be perfect. I like the idea of using the shims with a wheel spacer better than using a 10mm wheel spacer alone.

A lot of people are doing that, just make sure that when you lower it that the extra spacer doen't make your tires rub when you go over bumps.

The TRD springs I have are a more modest drop. I can see that rubbing would be a problem with more aggressive springs.

the TRD springs? Oh yeah, you won't have to worry about any rubbing at all. Perfect ride on those springs too. :D
