Default Lowering Spring Installation time

but hes extremely busy. so i might be able to get maybe 2 of my other friends to help instead. one of them went to automotive school.

If you have air tools and more than one person, under 2 hours. If you have access to a lift, even less.

I've personally done an install in an hour and fifteen minutes by myself, but I've done about half a dozen tCs. Oh, the type of springs/dampers also make a difference For instance, TRDs are the easiest, and S-Techs are goddamn horrible.

An impact wrench quite literally cuts the install time by half. Cranking down spring compressors manually is like medieval torture.

whatever you do don't buy the harbor freight (cheap cheap) spring compressors. I go there occasionally for one time use tools. But when i used them to change my friends springs on his mazda 6, one of the rods stripped in the middle and we were unable to losen the compressor anymore. We ended up going in his yard, throwing the spring in the air like 50 ft and then ducking behind his deer blind. It finally came off when it hit a fallen tree on the ground. (by came off i mean shooting 10 ft and imbeding itself 6 inches into the ground)

You can get a pair of MAC Tools compressors from NAPA for about $20. I've been using the same set for years and years.
