i first started w/ injen cai and i really like the sound when you're at full throttle. also you'll feel the car will pull smoother.
then i got the weapon r header and s-pipe combo. i haven't got the chance to try other header on the market yet like the strup, ebay brand and cx racing but i'm very satisfied w/weapon r because you can feel the difference in all of the rpm range and it improve the low-mid torque alot so you can get a better stand still acceleration.

hey...where can i buy a set of weapon r headers and s-pipe? is the header a TC race header? haven't have time to do the research...running a strup header w/ a HKS axel back, was planning to custom bend the mid pipe with a hi-flow cat and resonator...appreciate any type of feedback, thanks

the tc headers won't fit the xb2 unless you modified it. i got the header from cee dub2003 if you can try to look him up.
are you planning on removing the scuba tank?
if you do make sure you go get some ear plugs coz it'll be hella loud

yep that's why i'm going w/ n/a to save some $$$ and headaches.
i'm going to install some sound deaden to quiet down the inside for a better cruize coz my exhaust is still pretty loud but still bearable.
are you planning on replacing the s-pipe also?

the main cat on the header will be removed and you'll be left w/the 3-way " aka scuba tank " which restrict the air flow by alot. after i removed the scuba tank i felt a big difference in throttle reaction and power but it'll be hella loud " need some ear plugs " after removal. now i just have a race cat, 30" silencer and a muffler. sounds great and i really love it

depending on how high is your budget $200-$700

header options
strup headers goes around $350
weapon-r headers and s-pipe goes around $500
cheap ebay headers - $110 including shipping
cx racing headers - $150+

exhaust options
tanabes axle back $300+
trd axle back $400+
tsudo dual catback $300+
borla straight pipes dual/single $200+
cx racing full 3" $250+ ( this removes scuba tank )
cheap 2.5" ebay stuff $200+ ( this seems to remove scuba tank also )

so those are the options depending what you really want and how much you want to spend. you'll get want you pay for so don't expect much from the cheap stuff.
here is a link to the cheapest combo i've seen thus far. its those ebay brands including header and exhaust system a little over $300 lets us know what you decide to get

Dail, thanks for the info. Not going with the Ebay cheap. I do want some kind of "cat" in the system. Leary of cheap Ebay headers as well. Will look at CX 3" header, S pipe to 2.5" high flow cat and then back to tsudo duals.
Thanks again

Default Question

If I already have a TRD exhaust and the sound is good. By putting on the Strupp Header on and putting on a race cat and a silencer is that going to make it more noisy or quieter and what kind of cat and silecer names that you used and is there any pics of you have done that i can see if possible

See if you have a good answer? I have TRD Exhaust and want the Header from Strupp I like the sound and quietness of the TRD system Trying to keep the quiet sound and create horsepower with out getting the bees in a coffee can sound or a weed eater on steroids kinda sound.. lol

yes, I want headers, "S" pipe, and then cut out Scuba. Connect the "S" pipe to my current Tanebe dual setup. I'm on the road all day (salesman) so don't want it loud. Looks like a good size hi flow cat and muffler/resonantor might work. Current setup with Tanebe duals is a quiet as stock.
