-OK so heres the deal. I have an 08 tC and its got5600 miles on it.

-Recently it feels like the clutch is "higher than usual" and when i start to drive after its been sitting for a while i hear rattling between 2-3k rpm. but goes away after 5-10mins

my dad also said he noticed it was high.

ive driven stick for over 3 yrs with so i know im not a newbie. BUT when i 1st got the car i noticed it was jerky getting it to move... i dont dump the clutch or any of that crap, just regular driving i dont have the time or money to be buying replacement parts.... is this a problem or is it me?

also if i take it to the dealer and something is "wrong" will they cover the clutch from what i explained?

i believe so... engagement isnt bad except for reverse.... it jerks pretty bad going from stall to go in 1st.... ever since i got the car with 140m on it...

ohh i know what u mean now when u go from stopped position to moving it kinda jerks around? thats normal really jus depending on how fast u let go of the clutch how much gas u give it etc.

and the reverse thing is normal if it ever doesnt let u go in reverse throw it in 2nd and then reverse and the synchros will work thats normal too

these cars are torquey so that could be y it jerks u may be giving it too much gas bc ur not expecting the clutch to let off so high

It is considered a wear and tear item, so they wont cover it under powertrain, but from what they told me when I went to the dealer to get my clutch fixed is, that if I had under 36K then it would have been fully covered under the 36K bumper to bumper warranty. So just go ask them. Maybe one of the springs broke off in there and thats the rattle you hear. Take it to the dealer man. With that mileage you shouldnt have a damn problem like that.

i hope they dont give me isht because of my age... my BMW clutch lasted longer and it didnt do what im experiencing with the tc clutch... and i was a bit more agressive with the bimmer but not the tc
