have a little problem guys (SOLVED)
i put my exhaust on last january and i never had a problem until now. the exhaust has always caused backfiring and just a week or 2 ago it sounds like there's a really fast ticking noise and it gets faster as my rpm's go up. i have a feeling that it has something to do with my exhaust valves closing too late and allowing combustion in the exhaust manifold, rather than in the engine. can anyone help me on this? if im right, or what it would be? and how i would be able to fix this?
SO ME AND MY FATHER LOOKED AT IT TODAY (dad was a toyota mechanic for 15 years). turns out that the water pump is the problem.

check for leaks........back firing is usually from air getting into the exaust pipe and it ignites the spent gasses......or something like that.......also could caue the ticking sound......does not take much to do it and in colder weather it will get more noticable.
as i said, it didn't start happening until a week or 2 ago. i was just under my car the other day and didn't see any black residue. would it be because theres not enough backpressure?
