now that there is snow on the ground in some places, has anyone spun their xb around in a parking lot. My brother was trying to get me to do it last night but i pussed out. It seems too top heavy.

I haven't done it and wouldn't anyway. But, you would have to have traction control off, right?

How hard is this to do with front wheel drive and traction control?

I used to do it with my wheel wheel drive cars. Lots of fun. :D

Front Wheen Drive + trying to do donuts on snow = long skids shaped kind of like messy eclairs, not donuts...

mmmm...doughnuts!!! Yeah I wouldn't recomend doing those in the scion anyway. You could mess up an axle and possibly your bearing. :shock:

well today i was leaving for work, and there was about 1/2in of snow on the road of my neighborhood. Havent tested out the Trac Control yet so id figure i'd experiment... So i was going around a corner and turned late then jerked it, the back end slid out a lil, then you here the BEEP-BEEP-BEEP and the lil light flashes... as fast as i got it out, it pulled right back in...:( so i know it;s going to be a boring winter for me, (compared to my Ford Ranger) I guess its a good thing, cuz there were many times where I had to change my shorts when i got home... so maybe the Trac Cont. wont be that bad.

Drive strriaght turn wheel pull ebrake. You can do it once, you cannot go back and forth as in many cars as the VSC gets in the way, anyone have any idea of how to turn off the VSC?

Next time it snows, find an empty parking lot before the plows and salt trucks do. Get sailing across the parking lot, turn the wheel and yank the e-brake. Not exactly a donut, but the end result is similar...spinning out of control. :lol:

Hehe... I made a few attempts just this morning. First step is to turn the traction control off. When going forward the skid control does a real good job of keeping the tail from coming around. You can definitely spin pretty well if you go in reverse though.

Did the same thing on a snowy road last night. It doesn't matter whether you have TRAC CONT. on or off, the skid control is automatic and on all the time. All the TRAC CONT does is help prevent front wheels from spinning on the slippery stuff.

The neat thing is, the skid control works long before you hear the Beep-Beep-Beep. You can tell this by doing it at night. Both the anti-lock brake system, and the skid control are tied together, and when you do either one the headlights dim out. Both draw big amps when they work, and they both work in a instant.

When I tried the skids, I felt the brake on only one wheel being applied in a blink of an eye, and it pulled me right back into line. This was before the Beeps went off. You are right.......boring winter, but safe !!

I'd rather be bored than without my box.

I have experienced the same thing.
Reminds me of… Bad Cop, No Donut.
