Default Oil Return Pipe for Greddy Kit

Does anyone know where to find this?

I bought my turbo kti used and as such didn't get the return pipe with it. The only place I could find it said that it would take like 3 weeks, and I'm planning on installing next weekend.

I orginally was going to use the return pipe from Dezod, but received it and saw that at the one point the ID of the pipe is between 8-10MM. Since the ID of the pipe from the greddy kit is 16MM, i worried that this will not provide enough flow.

I read a P-Tuning post indicating that he majority of the blown turbs they have seen is from oil return pipes that were too small (they had suggested at least 5/8 ID which is approximatley 16MM).

I'm dying to get this thing on (starting to loose sleep over it)........so, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the line, I just need the pipe (that welds to the oil pan) to hook the hose to.

10 ID is ok?

I read the following:

"The biggest problems we've seen with turbo oil seal failure on turbocharged cars, that were originally normally aspirated, is usulllay due to the way the oil return line is setup.

Oil return line ID:
------------------
The oil return line ID bore should be at least 5/8" or larger on journal bearing turbo and 1/2" or larger for BB turbo. "

from this post:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...+turbo+ptuning

At first I was like well dezod uses it in their kit, but then i read the above and thought maybe it was originally 16MM for a reason?

greddy doens't have a big turbo, i have a big turbo. lol.

you can try to find 16 id. it shouldn't be hard, go to home depot and ask for the air tool section, bring the hose and they will help you fit it

That's a good idea.

I've been scouring the internet, without much luck.

Thanks!

While I'm posting, anyone have any other tips with the install?

Do I need to buy a gasket or silicon to reseal the oil pan when i get it up?

I did finds a pipe with an ID of 16 mm (bent to shape), but realized that the one with the kit is 14 ID and 16OD.

So, I'm back to square one. Do you think that dezod one will work although it's not as big as the one that comes with the kit?

I'm just talking about the portion of the system that is attached to the oil pan.

The one i bought is set up for a hose, but i think they have steel braided as well.

go to toyota and get their oil pan gasket maker

a regular rubber line is fine for your return line

Oil pan gasket maker?

Do you mean the tapped oil pan that comes with the TRD kit?

thanks!

Problem Solved.

I realized the reducer fitting 10AN to 8 AN was an aeroquip fitting (or similar) and that one of my audit cllents distribute their product.

So, quick run to Advanced Fluid Connectors in Glen Burnie, MD and I was all set up.

I purchased a 10AN to 10AN instaead.

Thanks for the help!
