Default Headlights don't work?

This morning as I was driving into work, I realized my headlights don't work. I thought I had noticed it before, but I just thought maybe the TC had dim lights. But today I was on an empty road with no street lights, and I couldn't see.

And yet, the parking lights and high beams work. Actually, from what I can tell, there's just no difference from when I switch from parking lights to normal headlights. Someone at work told me it's probably a fuse. Is he right?

i'd just replace the bulbs, they're probably burnt out, and just to be sure replace the fuse to be on the safe side.

What exactly did you do to check the bulbs and the fuses? Did you check the voltage where the low beam bulbs harness is at? if your getting voltage to the low beam bulb then its the bulb. No voltage at the fuse then the fuse is bad.

Otherwise you may have a bigger problem

I didn't check voltage, I just pulled out the fuse and pull out the bulb and looked at them.

And yea, they're stock lights. I think. I just got the car a month ago, but it was used 2007.

Thats still not entirely accurate. Both the fuse and the bulb could appear to be fine but something could have happened to cause them to go bad.

Without checking voltage all you can really do is swap bulbs/fuses and see if that works. If its just the low beams that aren't working its a good chance thats what it is. But otherwise, without a meter to test with it might be difficult to trace the problem.

Well I'll try some new bulbs I guess, and if that still doesn't work I'll just have to call up a Toyota dealer. It's still under warranty.

Thanks for all the replies.
