Yeah latch still holds. I shined u the 18's before I took them off guess the 17's need love too.

Thanks for the comments guy's and Gal's! It was a huge pain in the A$$ to do ( I did it on my own ). It could open farther with longer braces but not really sure how well it would close. This is just the beginning of this project as I am going to be changing some design things this winter. I would gladly help anyone that is interested in doing this as well.
