Default What brands of legal intakes and exhausts?

Well I had my tunes planned out but turned out some were not legal

ie weapon-r

So for CAI I am looking at the AEM ones because I hear problems with the Fujita and K/N doesn't interest me *CARB Number*

I dont like TRD exhaust so I need another legal alternative

help please guys

there isnt a carb legal CAI for the tC, and if you dont wanna get pulled over for exhaust i say go borla or magnaflow.

nope.

K&N makes an airbox replacement version though that's approved.. but that's really it.

nope. Only K&N makes a legal intake for our cars http://www.hopupracing.com/knsctccalety.html

As for legal exhausts, you should be fine with any axle-back system out there since they don't mess with the cats.

really lol well my concern is just if I get pulled over, I dont want ticket for "illegal" parts but I want the performance..

^ they usually dont make you pop your hood, you will get your ticket for what every you were doing WRONG and be on your way..... as for exhaust you might get a ticket for it being loud..

I wanted the HKS hi power and injen/weapon r intake

Funny story bout that...

I guess a few weeks ago dealers across the country got Cease and desists letters about the Intakes, because they are not yet CARB legal...I guess they are working on it though...

Actually I was driving in Saratoga and got busted by Santa Clara Sheriff for no front license plate. He then wrote me up for my TYC's being painted and had me pop the hood.

^^ you're in california.. if they have any suspicion.. most likely they'll ask to pop it.

though technically they supposedly. legally need a warrant... something about saying no.. apparently really lead them to "probable cause"?

i forget... it's stupid stuff..
