Default Down & Out

Well my 06 XA has been declared a total. Back on Aug 1 I was hit from behind while at a red light by a guy going 50+. Which pushed me into a truck in front of me. This pined me between the 2 vehicles. Fortunately there were no major injuries. I just had a really strained shoulder from where the seat belt caught me. Surprisingly, compared to the civic that hit me, the XA did not look so bad. The civic folded up like a tin can and he had to be towed off the spot. I managed to limp my car home where it died in the driveway. I will have to find were I put the pictures, but the damage looked like it was limited to the body and everyone thought it was going to be fixable until they started to take it apart. I had external damage to my front bumper, back bumper, hood, rear hatch, headlights, foglights, and rear doors jammed shut. Below the body it was ugly. Bent frame, slow leaks, electrical issues, and the spare wheel well was folded up into the cabin. I had the car payed off and it only had 18000 miles on it. The worst part was the next week I got a letter from the dealership that I bought the car from congratulating me on the 1 year anniversary of my purchase. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

Yeah sounds like a nightmare! Sorry to hear about your xA. I like to look at it as maybe one door closing and another opens. So what's next for you? There are plenty of Stock xA's out there. I am sure you can find a not so used "used" xA some where. But the Fit is good, the Yaris has some great modding you can do to it

Please keep in touch with what you plan..
