Default I No Longer Have A Green Box...

Mo, in an effort to snag the coolest car in the world, bought me a new Highlander so that he can humbly take my car for his own (and he's still been driving with the Hillary, 'Mom For McCain', & 'Women For McCain' stickers)

We'll here's some pics of our new toy:

Nice, looks good. I will be sad not seeing the NV Green running around Lakeland Hills anymore.

LOL can't believe Mo scammed you out of your EG Box. Although your new ride is really nice and maybe a little safer for you and baby. Maybe if your really nice to him he will let you drive it now and then. j/k Congrats.

I do get "visitation rights" to the box. I miss it dearly except for the sport ride (baby's head is very thankful for the new big box).

We did get rid of the tC because Robert Larson (I know, I know...) made us a deal we couldn't refuse!!! The funny thing is that the tC & Highlander get roughly the same gas mileage (in fact I often get better milage from the Highlander...which has several nifty gas gauge readouts including real time usage & tank average).

Mo & I both still zip around Lakeland in it. In fact, he's now jonesing on the Highlander and next week we are trading cars while his boss is in from Cali. There is another Envy Green in Lakeland as well and I have talked to the owner a couple of times...so don't get us two confused. I have stickers (at least till Nov) and my chrome wheels vs their black wheels.

Safety was my main concern, and we needed more room for baby stuff. I do like the xB, but I don’t like all the attention the color gets...

.... It all was just an excuse to get a highlander and get out of the tC .

Ya her car is real nice (rode in it from mo's work to the airport and back) - i just wouldn't want the cost of the car plus the gas difference.. it would be hard for me to go from 34mpg to 18-20 (specially with how much driving I do)

As CA mentioned the fuel economy is not that bad, I averaged about 18 mpg in the tC with all city driving, we average about 19 in the highlander in mixed city hwy driving. It is rated at 17/24. Most people don’t realize that sports cars are as bad on gas as some SUV’s. I can only manage about 27mpg in the box are you really getting 34mpg WOW that is awsome? Going from a xB to anything will defiantly be taking a hit on fuel economy… well maybe not if you switch to a Smart.

As for price, you would be surprised what deals are to be had out there.

tC's aren't sports cars though, they're econo coupes... it's a CAMRY engine... 160 crank hp a sports car? no way.

i've never gotten that bad of mileage on my tC highway or other, it's always 26+...

I only drive in the city + TRD exhaust and CAI for what they may be worth. Of the Scion lineup the tC is the most sporty vehicle. My comment was meant to be a general comment not specifically intended towards the tC. The SUV’s get the blame, but the sports cars use as much if not more gas and go unpunished as far as society and people’s perceptions are concerned.

alright, just confused because you were talking about the tC as part of it...

and yeah, sports cars are quite the gas guzzlers.

yup, right now i get anywhere between 33 and 34 miles per gallon and it only cost me $35 to fill the tank (give or take a few dollars)

I know there's good deals out there, but there is no deal out there where you can get a suv like that for less then 18k like i got my car

Hey...with the gas price going down I no longer pay $65 per fill up...I'm now down into the mid $50s...

But, yeah, I miss the days of filling up my xB for $20 (back before the gas price hikes).

Those days may be back again if the world goes into a recession. Oil demand will drop and prices will fall.

Even in the xB best I can do is 27MPG in the city. Must be the way I drive.
