montague 10-13-2008, 02:41 AM The HID kit I got it from E-bay and little disappointed about a light color it's look like 6000k but led bule from http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/fp/SFV/32481
They alway give me good stuff And for anyone who going to order a HID kits for your XD be sure you order a H4-2 or HI/LO H4 blub so you will be able to use your high beams :silly:
YELOSUB 10-13-2008, 07:07 PM Sweet looking ride...
n2oinferno 10-14-2008, 07:00 AM Needs projectors. That's a TON of glare, and you're going to make a lot of people on the road angry, not to mention dazzled/blinded.
LEDs are nice though.
ChelsDS 10-14-2008, 08:10 AM ^^ Exactly why I won't be getting HIDs any time soon. Why get HIDs if you can't properly use them? They DO look nice but.. function > form.
bigducexd 11-08-2008, 07:23 PM it looks good 2 me...my only question is why would u want 12000k? i like the 1s u have now

imageex 04-22-2009, 08:43 PM What color do they appear in person? More blue? More purple?

c2iix 05-07-2009, 11:57 AM howd you make that bracket to mount the ballasts
JDMJim 05-07-2009, 03:12 PM pink HID's have ____ poor light production. but it nseems you got lucky by getting 6K's that actually have some light production. my stock lights still outshine most guys around here. safety over looking cool sometimes
montague 05-08-2009, 04:08 AM howd you make that bracket to mount the ballasts
brackets are come with a kit
firesquare 05-08-2009, 04:13 AM 4300K looks 25484115763391 times better. and you'll actually be able to see stuff at night.
but looks pretty good with al the LED's
CL65Pilot 06-04-2009, 08:15 PM Montague: How is the glare with the HID kit? I would imagine that there is a lot of light scatter with it due to the reflector housing. Do you get high beam flashed a lot from on-coming traffic?
montague 06-05-2009, 04:04 AM when I install a HID light I have to adjust my head light to all the way down by this way you not gonna reflector much light to anyone on the road...

unless it rains and is a reflective surface....

Ya, I guess the 'safest' way to do it is to go with the 35 watt bulbs that are D2R with the shields on them if you are going to use the reflector housing. My only other concerns remaining is peripheral glare and cooling for the bulb.
bigducexd 06-13-2009, 03:42 PM heres mine when i used to have HIDs
