Oxygen Sensor Problem

Default Oxygen Sensor Problem

I had race headers and exhaust on my car so i took it off, and put all stock parts back on, and now its showing check engine light saying something is wrong with the oxygen sensor, Could it be the oxygen sensor is bad or its going to take some time to ajust to stock parts,, Please Help

try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to reset the computer

drive 50 miles to finish the diagnostic mode that our cars go t hrough and if it doesnt come back you're fine

i did that for about half hour and turned it back on as soon as i did maby couple seconds later, it came right back.

o2 sensor is bad then, hows your gas milage?

i dont know hows the gas milage, havent realy looked at it , dont pay much attention, ok so which one is it our cars have 2 one on the header one on the downpipe

the second o2 sensor is just a cat checker.

the first one is the one that went bad if you get horrible gas milage.

in fact, mine just went bad

i just need the harness part to plug the other side of the harness..im not using the any primary O2, i just need something to keep it from being shorted

yo , another question, before the install of the race headers, i didnt have c.e.l. when i installed em it came up, than now i took it off is still there , could it be the second sensor? because the first one is before the cat and the second one is after,

just an antifouler.. and what kind of CEL did you have? check what kind of code and that will help you know more where the cel came from

oke im going to autozone tmorrow to c what exact code it is , or i might take it to delaer , u think o2 sensor is covered under warrenty

okay, no problemo. lemme take it off though

hey, you don't need an o2 sensor with the hydra right? cuz if you d on't that's my first purchase.

i doubt they will cover warranty even if your tc is new due to the header.. but give it a shot.. check the code first, your O2 sensor might be fine

no i dont have the race header on, im back to stock, evrything is stock now is just the check engine light is still on

lol is new man 20k miles, but im going to write the code down and call dealer and ask what is the code for.. thx for help tho
