I always recommend upgrading the stock head unit and speakers first but since you already have a sub stage you should just put it in.

Put it in... if it's done right, it'll sound great... I have a Kicker amp and sub in my trunk and it sounds awesome...

It will also sound better in the tC than the Camry since it's not going to fire through the rear seat and get all muffled.

And yes, it can be hooked up to the stock headunit with the right equipment and connections.

You're gonna need more than just cables... you'll need a line-level converter and crossover... but the shop you take it to should be able to knock it out for ya...

i've got an '08 that i stuck my old system in - two jl 12s on a fosgate amp, a cap, and an old school xtant amp to run my front speakers.

i've also got the stock premium headunit, which does in fact have rca preouts for front rear and subs already.

for what it's worth, i removed the stock sub, and the in that place i was able to mount both amps and my cap for that clean install look.

happy thumping!
