I had the axel back on my ride for about one week already and noticed that the muffler itself is turning black (burnt marks) around the middle part of the muffler.

Don't understand why it's like that and when I had the TRD Rear Axel Back (had it on for about three months) it never showed a burnt mark on the muffler at all!

Does anyone with this exhaust system have this problem?

I hope I'm not the only one!

I just can't believe it turned this color that quick!

w/ the heat it'll change colors. not much you can do about it.

interesting. i'm lucky mine has not changed colors. then again i have greddy.

 

my trd does that sometimes in the fog and cold around our area.....the fog is worse were i am and my whole trd turns black and i need to clean it all the time

 

mine did the same thing its normal it kinda looked kool cause it was a burnt color nice. it turns the same color as the header gets after awhile but jus not as dark

 

the piping on my drift spec is goldish now but the resonator and muffler and tip still shine brilliantly
