what specific specs should i look at while checkin out rims? (havent even payed attention to how many wheel bolts are on my xA O.o) but anyways, if its 4 like i think it is, is that all i have to look at or do some manufacturers change the distance between the 4 bolts? like do i have to worry about manufactuers designing the bolts to be different distances from each other? or is it all universal. 4 bolts fits with any other 4 bolt?

it's a 4x100 and ideal offset is anywhere from 36-42. unless yer lookin for the deep dish look. it all depends on what your lookin for. and just remember the bigger the rims the more expensive the wheels and tires will be. duh .

Also as a general rule, the taller the rim, the harsher the ride will be. Those factors are why I decided to only upsize to a 16" rim. The wheels and tires cost less than comparable 17"s or 18"s, plus they weigh less (more power and better gas milage). Also, I live in PA (REALLY CRAPY ROADS) so I didn't want more than a 16" for ride quality.

Just be careful....alot of the wheels they may show you are "Out of Stock" and some of them aren't coming back.

Let's not forget center bore. Make sure you get hubcentric rings to match the center bore of the rim to the xb's hub.

Matt, I also live in PA (eastern)...what make model 16" tires/wheels do you have. I am considering Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S all-season low profile tires.

I'm just curious what you drive on, impressions, how many miles driven, etc.

You guys that have 16" or 17" tires & wheels for the xA...can you still use your spare tire? Or did you have to get a spare tire to match the size?

I'm running on 16's, and didn't replace the spare. You shouldn't either if you get the correct size tire. The stock 15's with tires and my 16's with tires are practaclly the same overall diameter.

Thanks BK! Here's a good link to see how much different your "new" wheels & tires will be Vs. the stock setup.

Ideally you want them to be less than a couple % off. Mine are only off by 1.38% (205/50/16).
