There have been alot of posts talking about "what springs are you on" etc. But I have not seen any xB, except for this post (Http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24789&highlight=tein)with Tein-H springs.

I've got H techs on both xB's. Very nice ride, low enough to look better than stock.

Not low enough to look slammed, lots o body roll.

We have them on both of our xB's. Make the ride really nice and just enough lowering to look good.

Ohhh, so the handeling is not improved? It just makes the ride better? I thought H's would improve handeling as well as ride. Or can those things not exists at the same time??

I have them too. I installed mine about 8 months ago, and almost 13K miles on them. The ride is much improved over stock. The ride isnt as choppy or harsh. This is because the spring rate is much lower; at the time, it was the lowest spring rate availible. If you go with a softer spring, you will have some body roll. I can tell you that i have never felt like i was going to loose control on the car, even in emergency situations.

If you looking for a stiff ride, and lowering, then you would want the Tein STech spring. It lowers a bit more, and the spring rate is considerably higher. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I have herd that from so many people. I live in a hillly area, VERY hilly. And I nervious about lowering my car two inches.. And winter driving would be shot, at least I think it would. And This will be the car I take to college, and am not sure it dropping it two inches would deminish any of its very limited utilitarian uses.. And I normally carry three people in my car on a normal basis, and dont want my car saggin ALL the way to the ground...

I have had my box loaded with stuff while moving, and still never bottomed out. I was so low in the ___ that my headlights were blinding people as i drove by. They all thought i was driving with my high beams on. :lol:

They're the best mix between comfort and a reliable ride height. I like them a lot.

:lol: :lol: :lol: . I actually did that one night. I was going down a narrow two lane road, so I turned my high beams on, and forgot to turn them off. People where flashing their lights @ me like crazy, but I guess I did not notice why..

ANYWAY, back onto the topic. After reading all of these posts, I think I know what I am going to do this summer.. Get some wheels, I do not reallyl know what size yet, 16" or 17", and get some Tein-H springs. I am Looking strongly at the Axis MagLights (17"), or the Borbet Type S (16") or BBS Wheels (17")

I will tell you this, 17s are nice for several reasons. They are bigger then stock, yet allow a decent sized tire to fit on them ( 215/45R17 here ) and i dont have the problems that most of my ScioNRG members have with 18s and 19s .... blown tires. With the Tein Hs installed, i have a minimal wheel gap. All in all, i think my set up nice, and suits me and my envornment very well. JMO

How many of you had a 4 wheel alignment done after you had your springs installed? I plan on installing a set of S.Tech's I'm getting from Crazeecooter.

That is a good question. Do you need Alignment after install??

^^^^ i did not have an allignment done. I have since put better then 10K miles on the tires, and i see no sign of wear. My box does pull to the left a little bit, but it has since i bought it. You should have your car alligned once a year, no matter what you drive.
