I got my speakers like they said they'd give me. Did you keep in continuous contact with them?

Steve,
Last I talked with Mike he told you he would ship them out when he had a chance. I know he and the whole M2 crew has been slammed getting things ready for SEMA. I will personally fallow up with him this afternoon and see what is up.
Thanks

Steve, it's free, it's a gift, and it sounds like there was no promised date for them to ship it too you.

You'll get it when you get it.

(If it were something you actually paid for and had a promised date for I'd be a LOT more sympathetic.)

I don't know Tom...I think that a month is more than reasonable in expecting the items won.....free or not....

Keep in mind that SEMA is coming up and they're probably busy preparing for that as Will has said.

Jenn, a month is probably just fine as a time to drop the company a note asking if they had an idea when they might ship, but as we should all recognize Mike and M2 are providing these things at their expense and as they can get to them.

M2 is a small company with a whole lot to do right now that is TIME CRITICAL to make sure their various projects are all ready to show at SEMA, and SEMA won't re-schedule their big show because one small company isn't ready.

Personally, while a month might be a reasonable time to wait to inquire, I'm not at all sure that posting up a complaint and asking anyone else who might be seeing a delay in getting freebies is the next step.

Then again, I'm not directly involved on EITHER side (same with most everyone else) so I will leave it up Steve and Mike to work it out (with Will's help).

I am not dissing a freebie or a VERY!!! hard working supporting member of the Scion community, only that I was told several diff scenarios and have not gotten a response from Mike for a while here on clubxb or through M2motoring e-mails.
I know he is very busy I was wondering if everybody else has had the same results, or mine just got lost in shipping

messages below

1st) verbally Mike told us at Exposed he was expecting the headlights but they did not make the packing of the xB before leaving, and they were on there way to Seattle. He would contact the winners via phone to meet up and distribute them before he left Bellevue where he was staying after Exposed.
next are the messages back and forth through forums.

Hey Mike,
You don't seem to be getting pm's on SL or ClubxB so I will try here.
Last we talked you asked me for my address so you could ship out the headlights from spyder auto that I won at Exposed via gift certificate.
I still have not received them whats up?

Steve, it took me a while to get my windshield but I eventually got it. I'm sure you'll get them soon.

Nope, not yet. I'm kinda reluctant to put them on because the driveway into the garage where I live is pretty steep and narrow. If there are people sitting in the back seat I always scrape. If I lower I'll probably scrape all the time.

Thanks Elbert,
It was more that I have not been able to get any response from Mike in 3 weeks (sept 29th) since he pm'ed me asking me for full address saying they would ship out that week.

I do understand your frustration.. even the busiest guy out there should be able to at least send you a quick email letting you know his situation.

Hang in there

^I feel your pain Steve but it is SEMA crunch time and things are getting hectic! I would seriously wait until after SEMA (first week in Nov.) and maybe give him a call the week of the 10th. Things have a way of "disappearing" from warehouses to locals or people that are in desperate need for this event. Not taking sides just adding another point-of-view. Keep us posted!
