What exhuast would you guys say is the best choice. Im looking for one for my 07 tc. Ive heard many and im between three brands. The tananbe concept g, hks high power, or injen ses?

I have HKS high power and i love it. sounds sick too

its quiet and doesnt have a raspy sound at all?

tc [brand exhaust]

If you have an intake and / or headers or some other custom setup, add those to the search terms also.

i love my injen ses.

so far i LOVE my injen ses have had it for a week so far and sounds great even when the engine warms up.

Edit: slanted exhausts look like crap imo, go injen or the G.

The biggest difference between the Injen SES/Concept G and the HKS hi-power are the fact that at high RPM especially with a header (from my experience) the HKS gets real high pitched and "rice" sounding.

The Injen (my exhaust) sounds the best at about 3k but even at 6 it doesn't get real ricey sounding even with my header.

Thats just my experience. I love the way the hipower looks but it just doesn't sound good to me.

everyone is going to say their exhaust is the best sounding because they are used to their sound. Go on you tube and do your research. I did mine and i also heard all of them on peoples scion tc's in car shows. The best sounding exhaust is the Skunk2 exhaust. its nice and deep and quiet on the highway plus sounds the best when you turn the car on. YouTube it.

i second the skunk2...honestly sounds the greatest.....the price is an epic failure though .... by the way best way to check it is with youtube ... plus it wouldnt hurt to have a decent surround on your comp to actually feel the bass like rumble from the exhaust

When playing the videos on Youtube.com, keep in mind that the set up they have may not be the set up you have. Thus meaning, the sound will or may, vary. There are many different options an individual can chose to go with. There are canisters and many other set ups you can go with. For example, I will be going with a cat-less turbo back Borla 2.5’….. I like Borla cause of its mild deep sound and also for the way it will look on the car. I prefer not to have a big can sticking out of the back of my car. Now at this point in time I have a can but I will be changing that. For me I just want something that isn’t loud but works the best with my set up and sounds good. If it does its job then that’s what I am looking for. Ricers are the ones who want to be loud as hell. Just cause the car is loud that doesn’t make it fast….lol…Just cause the Dog can bark doesn’t mean it has the balls to bite!!!! When the dog gets the ball it doesn’t need to try and sound big and bad, it comes natural.

Ricers repulse me due to their lack of knowledge and ability to properly tune tastefully…..It’s ok I was ignorant once also….lol…..Ricers read and you will learn something…….If you are a ricer and you are reading this your off to a good start by reading in a forum. Sorry for ranting and raving…lol

I've tried HKS HiPower, Greddy SP2, Tsudo N1, and A'pexi.
My vote goes to Greddy SP2.

the only thing I don't like about my HKS exhaust is how it sounds with headers. I just got DC headers and it sounds ricey, I want to get rid of them already.

ok well i know i put Concept G up before and that is because my first exhaust was teh HKS Hi-Power, sounded great but got annoying, looked cool at first then it got stupid and you kinda get sick of having an angled exhaust, then i got megan (free) full cat back exhaust, WAY too loud and again ugly angled exhaust. road around with the stock for a while and then go the concept g, and its the best one out of the 3 i have by far

Edit: Only reason why I stuck with HKS because it's quiet out of all the exhaust out there for the tc when in VAC other than that most of the exhaust out there will sound kinda nasty (bad way) because of the aftermarket headers on the 2az motor.

get an injen cai for sure. then go to youtube and listen to other exhausts. everyone has their own opinion and its your car. listen to the different exhaust on youtube and pick the best sounding one in your opinion

i'd say find people with different exhausts and see how they sound in person; because you may get one an then not like it and out of the $.

I think Ill go with the HKS hi power. Prob is I dont know anyone in my area with a modded tc.

ar4434 Like I said earlier in this topic, the Injen is a great exhaust.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it hangs down pretty low where the bend is to go under the rear where the crossmember/suspension is. But i'm on very settled s-techs and it's still a good ways from the ground. I'd say maybe 10 inches or more.

Just putting that out there, if your really slammed the injen is one of the crappiest designs where that bend is.

im not slammed. im running on the trd springs im looking more into the hks and the tanabe but the tanabe sticks out to far in my opinion but sounds great. As the trd sounds good but looks like the stock exhaust.

I still have stock exhaust, but I talked to the crew chief of the rado time attack tc.... he recommended tanabe (1st), then he said HKS is also good... i was undecided between the 2 before i even talked to him, but now i know i want the concept g

there's no reason for that. a axle back exhaust for a tc doesn't give you a noticeable gain either way

What are you trying to get out of your exhaust? Just sound? Cause all you have listed are axle-backs. Thats waht those are mainly for unless you get a midpipe and s-pipe. I like the skunk2 for a catback. I havent really looked at the axlebacks as i want a full system. Just figure out what you want with your exhasut and then look at the data.

I regret selling my Tanabe Medallion Touring, it was an awesomely quiet exhaust. My SP2 sounds great during normal driving, but when you get on it the exhaust gets real raspy.

magna flow, and hks are good. but you could always go custom and make it sound the way you want it to. i have a custom one it i think it sonds better than the magnaflow or hks

I would do a custom exhaust, but I dont want to spend that kind of cash.

They arent as expensive as you would think. Figure out what you want and make some calls.

Greddy Ti-C Exhaust FTW..im running this on my ride right now without silencer and it sounds great. Quiet when you want it to be but tap the pedal and the growl comes alive. No rasps..only downfall is if you have an five axis rear lip dont get it. It will eat away your lip as it did to mine
