View Full Version : aerodinamics jct 12-23-2004, 06:38 PM lame question whats the coefficient of drag on our cars??? jct 01-14-2005, 08:46 PM no one knows huh superjeer 01-14-2005, 08:48 PM last time it was posted noone knew (it was for the xB, but same thing, as far as people having the data). Joehnn 01-14-2005, 08:54 PM xBs - 100% jct 01-15-2005, 03:44 AM we need wind tunnel testing here ppl know any shops with a wind tunnel??? pkoule 01-15-2005, 04:04 AM lame question whats the coefficient of drag on our cars??? Well, a standard-issue brick has a Cd of 1.00, so the xB is probably not too far off... BoomBox757 01-15-2005, 04:12 AM last time it was posted noone knew (it was for the xB, but same thing, as far as people having the data). no not the same thing  scion_tC 01-15-2005, 04:19 AM the tC is at 0.33 jct 01-15-2005, 04:25 PM no fair the tC has a CF of 0.33 :( but they don't know the CF of the xA wtf is up with that snot bubbles jct 01-18-2005, 08:32 PM ok i asked scion.com for the coefficient of drag for our cars and they answers " No, I'm sorry but we don't have that information." simple question with no answer go figure ok ppl we need a wind tunnel!!! so we can tests lots and lots of testsl firesquare 02-01-2005, 05:24 AM well i know the xB has the same drag coeficent as a over head cab Freightliner or a UPS truck JMD83 04-21-2005, 03:19 PM I don't have an answer but I think the xA has a rather good drag coefficient and aerodynamics... At least 2 or 3 times a day while I am on the highway I notice items flying through the air (bugs, paper, small debris, etc...) that seem to be heading straight at the windshield then just fly up and over my car... Who knows? A wind tunnel would definately help but I hear they are expensive to run... |
