Default Bump Steer

Before i get into my topic... Yes I searched and the few posts i found didnt really say much so...

Im sure there are some like myself that have lowered their vehicle either with springs, or coils and have experienced bump steer... (hitting a bump or dip in the road forcing the steering wheel to pull to that side). Has anyone found a fix for it other than raising the vehicle height? Ive seen kits for other cars, has anyone seen a kit for us?

Id appreciate any info on this... thanks

There isn't a known fix for our cars but the most common way to fix this is to flip your tie rods from top to bottom. This usually requires a different tie rod end since ours are tapered and will not work upside down. I know that on Rsx's there is a tire rod kit to flip them, however on the Rsx the Tie rod adapts straight to the shock body where as on our cars you mount them to the knuckle assembly. I'll try and email the company and ask them for specs on their unit, if its similar I could try them on my car.

But I know what you mean though, it feels like the car is tracking over cracks and such and it gets worse once you get stickier tires.

That's because your are probably bottoming out. Either way bump steer is a bigger issue once you get into hard cornering. When making a hard turn and you hit a bump or imperfection on the road the steering wheel will want to jerk to the opposite side. It feels like your really fighting the car and doesn't help with stability at all.
