since i put it on ive been hearin this weird nois like the internals of my engine are shot....but it goes away when i take the dampner off anyone else with similar complaint?

You hear your car more. Your motor is connected to the car more so now so you feel more vibrations and hear your motor more.

 

it sounds horrible i think if it were normal other ppl would complain as well nd noone has yet....

 

Other have noticed the noise. Bet it happens when you do this mod. So its either accept the benefits and deal with the noise or lose the benefits and lose the noise. Yopu could through so dynomat on it to help but it wont fully cure the problem.

 

well what kind of noise exactly are you hearing? It may be due to adjusting the damper wrong or something.

 

Is it a real fast knocking sounding?

 

it's normal but putting dynamat will help that what I put on and it's a lil better.

 

I sold it, I just didn't like it, and I'm much happier without it

it's because most people who get it, know what they are getting themselves into.

the noise is the motor vibrating the rest of the car.. it's normal.

its a really fast engine knocking sound and it gets worse with higher rpm

 

because the dampner is doing it's work.

 

vibrations / movement from the engine are being transferred into the body of the car to reduce the movement of the engine. Noise inside the cabin is one factor that comes from doing so.

 

unfortunately, it's a side effect of having the dampener on your car... kinda like gutting the car to reduce weight... sure, you'll get some performance benefits out of it, but you'll also get some additional noise.

 

sounds to me like it needs to be adjusted a little. but as others have said, dampener=more noise. especially in the winter.

 

If your so worried take it in to the dealer to have then check the engine.

 

please research mods b4 buying.

use the best insulation material possible for this part and u will love it year round.

 

i did research and nothing explained the sound i hear because...other tCs with this mod dont make this sound or at least the ones ive been in
