I have read that I should get a front wheel alignment after the springs, is this necessary? As far as I can tell it doesn't seem out of alignment to me, but if it's necessary I will.

I guess I could just take to an auto shop and have them check to see if it needs it.

alignment isn't something you can eyeball. wait around 2-3 weeks, the average time it takes for springs to settle, and then get an alignment. any suspension work should be followed up by a alignment.

Thanks, I will do that. What will I experience when the springs settle, pulling to one side?

What about headlight adjustment, How much is the standard for lowering them down?

After I dropped mine on Tanabe springs, it drove straight, and didn't pull either, but my toe-in was between 3 and 4 times what it should have been. Car drove fine, but tires would have worn very quickly.

It's your car, and they're your tires, but I saw a $60 alignment as cheap insurance against $400 worth of tires.

The stock was pretty rough for a car. I have not driven it much to be able to tell yet. I hope it will be much smoother than stock. It seems like it's smoother, but it might be me just thinking that since that is what I read about changing springs.

alignment doesn't only fix pulling. there's also camber, caster, toe, all that ish, but i'm sure you'll have a bit more camber than necessary, meaning your wheels are going to look a little like / \ from the front/rear. small adjustments, but it'll help your tires last a bit longer, and handling.
p.s. get it after it settles, or else you're basically throwing money out the window. as it settles, your alignment go more and more out of spec

Are the alignment specs for the 08' the same as the 09'?

TRD = 1"F/1.5"R drop, spring rate about 10% stiffer than stock.
NF210 = 1"F/1.7"R drop, spring rate about 5% stiffer than stock.

The Tanabe springs ride a little more comfortably (really nice if you're on 18/19/20 inch wheels) and let the rear sit closer to level; however, if you're pushing the edge of wheel/tire fitment with +35 offset wheels and 235 tires, then the softer NF's will rub over bumps & dips, whereas the TRD's usually won't.

Since the springs lower the rear more than the front as you can see by CIONIDE's conveniently posted specs above, you will probably need to adjust the lights down a bit.

Here is a set of instructions if you are inclined to give this a shot yourself.

If the TRD springs are installed by the dealer since day 1, would i need an alignment?
