Supercharged or Turbocharged???
OK, I need someone to bring out the cold, hard, blunt truthful facts about this
dilemma. I am intending on going with the TRD supercharger for reliability and because I know what to do to unlock the potential of the s/c (i.e. s/c overdrive pulley, performance camshafts, water/meth injection, headers, exhaust, etc...) However I'm seeing about 50/50 for s/c and t/c for this car all over forums. I know its a big part for a four-banger, but I really haven't heard any serious problems with it, unless I'm missing out... Somebody who is unbiased or at least experienced with both methods of F/I for the tC, please enlighten me to confirm my good decision, or prevent a bad one...

IBTL.
Turbo is the way to go. I want to go that route but we will see where my finances lie next year. Then that will determine if I will go I/H/E pullies and maybe cams and a tune. But dotn go S/C to many problems and warranty work is a biscuit to get. Its a faulty design even with upgraded bearings. Turbos can fail but usually its more easier fixs.

I've seen alot of superchargers break... the factory quality seems hit or miss...
as for Turbo systems for the tC... (@ the same boost level as the supercharger,) they tend to make more power...
<----- NINJA (moves back and wait's in the shadows...)

Those kits are hard to come by but make tons of power from what I hear.
What forums are you on if you see 50/50 TC'ed to S/C'ed tC's. It's more like 80/20 Turbo > S/C'er.
What are your performance goals. The whole illusion that the S/C'er is less of a hassle in maintaining is just that....an illusion.
