Default Gauge in the A/C controls *Update 2nd Post!* lmao

since the thread where travis posted this was locked, had to make a new one
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...=gauge+mounted

who else has done this?
looks cooler than any other setup ive seen
i want to do it but i cant wrap my head around how they moved the A/C controls
anyone got any ideas?
Couldnt you make the gauge turn and adjust the AC?

k so me and aen (heiu) decided we were gonna do it
right now

we're trying to figure how to make it so the gauge will act as the AC controls
heres what we go so far
i have to cut this center hole

this is a bitcch to get out

this silve piece is what turns when you turn the ****
so if you attach it to the gauge, then it will work

the plastic is what is connected to the silver piece
this needs to be connect to gauge

like this

itll turn out like this hopefully

i would extend the wires to the buttons and the lcd so that you dont have to cut a hole in the circuit board. that way you can relocate the control for the temperature to somewhere else with a small black **** or use the cig lighter as the ****. turning the gauge would be weird IMO.

i dont have to cut a hole in the circuit board
only the piece that connects to the board

i think turning the gauge would be cool and unique
and funny

So when you turn the temp to coldest the gauge will not be setting level? So if you want the gauge to set level the temp will be in the middle? It looks cool as ____ but the temp comtrol should be moved else where. Just my opinion. Good luck.

You could put some kind of sleeve around the gauge and make THAT turn the metal temperature adjuster thingy and the gauge stay stationary??? I think that would be cool. The gauge itself turning kinda makes it weird IMHO. You could use like an acrylic ring? I'm not sure how you would keep the gauge stationary though ... maybe attaching it to the circuit board at the bottom and cut the part that attaches to the temp adj. so that it doesn't hit it? I don't think that makes any sense... :/ you should just read my mind so you can see it too, hahaha!

okay.. so that gauge does look awesome there.. but do you literally have to turn the entire gauge to adjust the ac? because the numbers and ____ would always be crooked evertime you go from cold to hot? is there a way to make just the bezel of the guage adjust the ac?
