Drilled and slotted
I've heard that drilled and slotted rotors have a tendency to crack/break from daily driving...is this true? for rotora or stoptech rotors that are slotted and drilled?
also has anyone done the power slot big rotor upgrade? do you feel a bigger difference rather than just doing regular rotor upgrade?

i have heard that with having both lowers the integrity of the rotor causing it to warp, maybe crack. i upgraded mine to slotted only since it looks nice. i doubt a daily driver will need both drilled and slotted, and if you do, i dont want to be near you when your driving.
this is only from what i heard, i have no proof of it though

yeah its what i've heard
honestly i wouldn't really get drilled AND slotted, i prefer slotted for the basic functionality.
i've searched but couldn't find pics of the power slot big rotor upgrade on tc's. can someone also post pics

yeah well technically this isn't a big brake kit, its a big rotor upgrade which spaces out the caliper and the bigger caliper enables better heat absorption.
i was just curious if anyone on here had any instances of drilled and slotted cracking on them from they're own experiences.
also i wanted to know if anyone that actually knows what they are talking about inform me on if there is a drastic different from regular slotted rotors and big slotted rotors.

Cracking happens to all types of rotors. The drilled seem to be more prone to cracking. I completed a 4 day Bondurant class a few months ago. We ran the c6 vettes hard for 4 days straight. My car had 2,400ish on the odo and the drilled oem rotors were fracturing and looked more sever than the above pic. I have been beating on the slotted rotors for years now and I have had zero problems both on the tC as well as a GMC Yukon that I use for offroading and towing.
As of last week Powerslot is on nationwide backorder for the plus style set up. Good luck with your upgrade!
you mean handling wise, ss lines wouldn't affect performance
i will be getting stainless steel lines with hawk pads, the rotors is where i'm stuck at.
i've decided not to go with drilled on oem replacement rotors but i don't know how my opinion would hold against the power slot big rotor upgrade
