Nothing says holidays like tryptophan-ladened turkey and tossed relatives with ol' skool stories to tell. Well why wait to hang with gramps when you can come and revile with your buddies in the Scion Community.

When: Saturday, December 20th (moved from Dec. 13th)
Time: 7 pm

We'll provide a spread of good eats (including turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc.) and non-alcoholic drinks. For those that want, please feel free to bring a holiday dish, dessert, or some boozy drinks.

White Elephant Gift Exchange:
1) Bring a small WRAPPED gift ($15 or under preferably)
2) We'll all draw numbers and go in order of "opening" a gift
3) A person can choose to open a new gift or "steal" a gift from someone else (at which point the person left without a gift will either choose to open a new gift or "steal" from someone...and so it goes)
4) A gift may only be "stolen" up to 4 times.
5) The game ends when all gifts are opened and each person has a take away item

This sounds great. I would love to come. I will sadly not be able to cook anythign because I will be living on my boat then but can bring sumthing. I will have to wait until i know my duty schedule for Dec to say anythign for sure. but i would really love to come.

Yes, but the Toy Run is at 1:30 and this is at 7 pm...come on...you can make the 4 exit drive from Pacific Raceways over here right?

Good & Bad News Everyone:

First of all...the bad news...

Because of the current weather predictions we are going to postpone this event for one week. As of this afternoon the wind chill will be down to 0 degrees and with the threat of snow & ice tomorrow (and below freezing temps all day) we didn't feel that it was safe to ask people to come out to our place which may cause accidents or people getting stuck away from home. Today we received an email from the mayor letting us know what the current weather situation is and that they are predicting it to be the coldest temps on record since 1990.

Please know that we only do this because we want to ensure everyone's safety and well being.

That being said...the good news...

This party will now be at 6 pm on Saturday, December 20th. I know that the new date is right before xmas and not sure what the turnout will be. With that extra week, Mo & I are going to come up with some goodies & things that will make the wait worth it for everyone who attends!!! I can't go into specifics right now but I'll post up soon with it...

There was a request on the table for Friday the 19th vs Saturday the 20th....let me know what your thoughts are!

 

We would like to attend, but that is the same day as the Team Ascension White Elephant exchange here....the 20th that is

 

Awesome I can go know cause of the date change. I will bring some beer hopefully the best beer ever if the Navy exchange has it. I will bring some food as well. Just let me know what you need. I cant cook anything though cause i live on the boat i am stationed on now. My wife will prolly be coming too since she is visiting me for the holidays.
