oil pan tap leaking...any help?
it wasnt leaking so bad on my first setup....but now its like a puddle in the morning....
i have alot of rtv and toyota sealant on it must have been when i re attached the oil return i(while tightening it) probably rip the sealant.....
possible solution..cutting away all the old sealant and putting new rtv red.....or jbweld?

Post a pic...
What I did was mine was I used the red RTV sealant to thread the fitting in. After that had settled, I used JB-weld around the fitting and "welded" it to the pan. No leaks at all.

Just leave it overnight - preferably with a lamp next to it so it stays warm and cures faster.
Plus the recommended 24hr is for parts that take a lot of stress.. like an engine block. I think you'll be fine - I think I had let me sit for only 10 hrs before I tried it.

have it welded if you can.. i have a very little leak somewhere where the bung was welded, its just enough to moisten the pan, im gonna try to put some jb weld on it sometime
JB Weld and be done with it man.
Go to Walmart - takes 20 mins tops probably to get there and back.
Mix the two tubes - takes a couple of minutes - apply and leave a lamp there next to the fitting overnight.
Tomorrow you'll be fine.
