Says who? I do and I'm sure other people feel the same way.
Nuff said. So keep your xB clean to match the style. I don't want anyone misrepresenting what the xB stands for. So it might be a little cheap and it's no Maserati or Range Rover but put a few simple classy mods on it and it says a lot about the owner. I think a ride expresses a lot about the sense of style the owner has. My xB is without a doubt GQ.......

Agreed! I got my xB in BSP with two tone leather, tinted it up and tossed on some 18" chromes. I think it's pimp! Just the right amount of classy and sporty. When chicks get in my car they think I paid a lot more.
I never "race" anyone or rev up my loud ___ exhaust (don't have one) I just cruise in style and watch the heads turn.
The only mod I really want is the factory NAVI. That would set it off just right!

It's a mens style magazine.
it really focused on cologne advertising, and expensive clothes. Kind of feminized guys. Not very practical, would have been better if GQ had articles on how to properly use a jigsaw or belt sander.
BTW- I wouldn't say the xb is "GQ", maybe more like consumer reports meets sport compact car (is that mag still around?)

Doesnt really feminize guys...if you have read it it's about politics, movies, technology, yeah some clothes in the very back, better sex and other things that all mens magazine touch on...you want a magazine about belt sanders and hacksaws go to the home depot magazine rack..it's better than criticizing a magazine that was never aimed at that audience.

Honestly you were better off not getting any of the above from your dealership because its way more expensive from them. The only good thing about it is you can finance all of that stuff. Find an authorized katzkin dealer in your area to install it...should run you around $1000 depending if you go 2 tone, piping, suede (etc.). Only reason I financed all my stuff is because I am a salesman at the dealership and I got a nice price on it from my rep 8)

Althoug the car is far from expensive, I do feel that it has an expensive look when you do certain things to it. I have 225 40 18 tires on old school 3 piece Racinghart rims and they look massive on the small frame. The car looks chunky with a strong stance and the 2" drop just makes it look better. I also have 6000K HID lights on it and it's so darn cool to approach an intersection and the white lines on the road just come alive as if they were neon lights. I only drive mine on sunny days with no chance of rain, so it stays always perfectly clean. I wish it didn't have factory tint, I would like to have a really light bluish tint on all the windows, it would look perfect on the white sheetmetal.

I love that magazine. I don't have a subscription but I understand the concept behind the magazine. GQ = Classy
Of course people can turn their box into a ricer with the loudest exhaust they can find and put those little neons on the hood where the wind shield wiper fluid comes out and totally kill it.
Keep it simple and take pride in what you install or get it done professionally and people won't start to look at our boxes as little punk pocket rockets (lack of rocket power).
I still turn heads with my 19" rims and suede interior among other things i've invested in my box.

Is "metrosexual" a sexual preference? I don't really like Out magazine because it's too trendy and I think it's a bit extravagant. I appreciate beautiful things, but I just think some of the things advertised in their magazines are over the top. Granted, I sometimes shop at FCUK, but that's because their jeans aren't ripped, tattered, and brown. That's a trend I don't want to be a part of.

Yeah, I think it's when you would rather have sex with yourself because you think your hot! j/k
That would be another good debate because I really don't know the definition of the term.
I've been called a metrosexual because I like to dress nice (GQ Style) and people that know me know I take care of my physical apperance because I feel it's somewhat important to me.
Don't associate me with the definition I gave above because I love the tang to much and I'm not stuck on myself at all. I just like to get snazzy and pop my collor when I get the chance.

I thought the metrosexual thing was a hetero guy the dresses like a homo guy...matching clothes and shoes and belt and whatnot as opposed to jeans and a sweatshirt and 5 year old sneakers.
*edit* googled metrosexual and this was the first thing that came up.
metrosexual (met.roh.SEK.shoo.ul) n. An urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle.
—metrosexuality n.
Example Citations:
At dinner the other night, my date listed the calorie count of the main entrees, raising an eyebrow at my chicken Alfredo selection after he had ordered a salad. I saw him check his reflection in the silver water pitcher three times. During dessert, he looked deeply into my eyes and told me he thought what we have together is very special. It was our third date.
It was then that I realized why my dating life has been as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle since I arrived in Washington. This city, unlike any other place I've lived, is a haven for the metrosexual. A metrosexual, in case you didn't catch any of several newspaper articles about this developing phenomenon (or the recent "South Park" episode on Comedy Central), is a straight man who styles his hair using three different products (and actually calls them "products"), loves clothes and the very act of shopping for them, and describes himself as sensitive and romantic. In other words, he is a man who seems stereotypically ___ except when it comes to sexual orientation.

So I met this really hot girl right......We've been messin around since new years night. We go to this bond fire thing on saturday night and all get s*it housed. Well it's time to leave so her and I head back to a friend of mines to jump in the hot tub for a little while or maybe just pass out (We will decide when we get there). So she passes out in the ol' Scion on the way there. That's cool....I get to the house and go around to the passenger door to wake her up and bring her inside (it's pretty cold outside). All of the sudden stupid mode kicks in and she like "No I don't want to go in some random peoples house". But the funny thing is that she knew the people quite well. So I tried for about 20min but she wasn't hearing it and just wanted to sleep in my car. "Fu*k it", I let her sleep in the box all night and I crashed inside. I had no idea that I was going to wake up with holes and mud on my roof from her 6" heals.
Boy I was ____ed but I guess that gives me a reason to get the roof re-done in suede to match my seats.
Moral of the story.....

Back to the GQ thing: I don't consider myself or my car GQ. There are many metrosexual guys that will readily outdress me. I just wear whats comfortable, i.e. nothing tight, sparkly or outrageously colored.
