I figure it being super cold out that this is happening but..

my HIDs aren't starting up quickly like they usually do.
A trick I've been doing to get them to go is to open the hood, disconnect them from the harness and attach them again and they light up. Maybe I have a loose connection somewhere? Or maybe this is normal.

thanks for any info.

Yeah there is a problem somewhere if you have to unplug. Is there rust building up in the harness connections.with the rain here for Fall and Winter it will get moisture in the connections and make them not work as well to pass the electricity.clean them......off the car with no battery connected if you do it on the car.......then use dilectric grease in the connections to seal out the moisture.
