I am interested in the 5Zigen Fireball exhaust system. I was reading some old threads that said there was a fitment issue with it because the company hadn't changed the product for the USDM xB. I think there was some difference between the bB and xB that made the JDM part not sit correctly on the xB. Some said it touched the lower part of the bumper enough to scorch the paint. I think a muffler shop had to correct the issue with the rear hanger.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone who bought a Fireball somewhat recently can confirm that this issue has been fixed. I love the look of this system, but I don't want to spend $300 for an exhaust that doesn't fit properly.

Also, I realize that this exhaust hangs a little lower than some others. I was curious to know if anyone here has had issues with it scraping on driveways or inclines. Any help appreciated!

Well i roll with the 5zigen fireball exhaust....i purchased it back in july of last year...and i really haven't had any problems with it scraping on inclines and i also have a 2 inch drop on my car....there were some issues with it when they were installing it but they fixed the problem and they made it sit nicely....they had to put the hanger in a different location...but it hasn't messed up my bumper...it doesn't touch it at all...so i would definetly recommend the fireball exhaust...it sounds clean on my car...i got mine at my local discount tire center...and they did an awsome install....so if you do get it...go to a good place where you know they will do a great job in installing it...:)...hopefully i helped you a bit

Thanks, Yoshii. I was worried with the car being lowered and all that the exhaust might scrape. But I'm not planning to slam mine to the ground, so I think I should be ok. Thanks again.

If the exhuast hangs a little lower, just get some quality hangers that stiffen it up a lot while shortening the gap.

I think the problem was that it actually hung too high. From what I read, the muffler was actually in contact with the lower part of the bumper and would melt it.

I PM'ed some people (Thanks again Yoshii) who bought it recently and asked them about it and they do not seem to be having any issues. I also contacted 5Zigen USA and they said the product has been updated. Thanks for your help everyone!

That's good news, because I was thinking about this same one! Comes with a silencer, no?

Kevin,

I just installed it and had no problem with the install maybe 30min to 45 min. But I was not completely satisfied with the amount of power that it gave my XB (automatic) it sounds great and looks great. If you are getting it I recommend getting the Typhoon K&N intake at the same time. I drove the XB for a few days decided the fireball did not satisfy my needs after adding the intake I'm 100% satisfied with the amount of power!!

cochise: Sounds good. I will be getting an intake eventually, but I'm mainly buying the exhaust because it looks and sounds nice.
