If i were to go with the original pipe routing on the tC, and then split it into two and make it a custom dual muffler system, would I lose power or would it do any harm?

 

i don't think it will lose power....and if u don't wanna do custom ..percision muffler offers a daul exhaust for tc!

 

nope, wouldn't really do anything. precision muffler makes a kit for it.

 

It's going to be purely cosmetics though since we DO have 4 bangers.

nate aka newtc4me has it, and it looks quite good. he's got the lip kit for it as well though.

 

Theres one at my school, If done correctly they look sick.

 

Would the sound of it be diff at all? I know sometimes the sound does not change at all could any post up pics?

 

wouldnt make a difference, its mostly cosmetic. don't put to many muffles on. precision muffler is the way to go.

 

A friend did one and said the car was slower maybe no back pressure

 

no back pressure... more weight... loss of power a bit here and there..

I have the Precision Dual Muffler and I can tell you that you will lose low end torque. It doesn't look ricey like Dodge Neons with to big rice can nor half as loud. To be honest, it was a expensive dumb mod that I did to my car. It looks cool but the price and the sacrifice in low end torque is not worth it. Gonna try to see if I have pics and if so, I'll upload them into my profile.
