Hi, i was woundering if anyone could recomend any particular springs, what i am looking for is to not lose too much hight (good ground clearance is somewhat important durring winter), but still offer me a stiff(er) ride.

Also would springs + sway bar help with turning radius of the car?

your probably going to want either the trd's or maybe tanabe NF210. both are really good choices and dont drop it to much. im on the tanabe DF210s and i love the way they feel, but they do lower it a bit more than you probably want.

No experience with a sway personally, but the sways are meant to decrease body torsion during turns, especially tighter turns. So i would have to say that the turning radius will be improved, however, im entirely sure that its not TOO noticeable. you wotn go from (this is just an example to put some numbers in) say a 30' radius to a 10' radius...it wont be drastic at all, but it will help to improve some bit. id have to agree with first king, i have DF's and theyre great, im planning on getting tokico HP's to go with em, but depending on how much ground clearance you want, you still may be able to go for DF's. I measured my clearance once after the drop and i think i got a measurement of 6" clearance...hope this helps!! trd's and nf's have about the same drop rate so...how much money do you want to spend? lol..tanabe's offer a better priced product.

Your sway bar will only change your turning radius at a higher mile per hour. If youre driving fast, you will surely notice that the rear end sticks to the ground much better and feels much more stable. As for the springs, TRD or Tanabe should be fine, but if youre really really concerned about the snow go with the TRD's.

has anyone heard about Eibach Pro-Kit? i've heard that these springs fit the xD as well, and that they are pretty stiff, any thoughts?

eibach's also a good company, just about the same quality as TRD and Tanabe. however, eibachs offer the least lowering rate, and will be barely noticeable. TRD's are probably stiff enough, for what youre looking for, but since eibachs are probably cheaper id say just go ahead and get those. TRD's and NF's will give you more drop, and the TRD's should be just as stiff as the eibachs. NF's i THINK are a little softer, but id like to see someones input who actually has them to confirm that..

you can just buy a pop pen from like walgreens or walmart and take the spring from the inside of the pen. I think that works but you need to buy four pens cause you have four shocks.

Yes, the drop for Eibach Pro springs (Black color) for the xD are only 1.2 front and 1.0 rear, but they also have their sportline springs (red color) that are a bit more agressive at 1.7 front and 1.4 rear for the 'D. hmm.. odd in that they have a larger front drop than the rear, that'll rake the car even more, won't it?...

it will rake the car (physically) but if you look at the car from the fender line, itll be an even drop. On springs where the drop is meant to keep the body perfectly balanced (straight) you see a major difference in fender gap between the front and the back. With DF's theres about a 2 finger gap between the line and the tire (give or take a little) where as the rear is a perfect 1 finger. not a very official method of measuring gap but the difference is still there.

good news about the sportlines, i thought the only springs eibach would offer would be the pro springs, so thanks for that news :D

While this is kinda late, might be something to look into for someone in the future:

I put Progress springs for the Yaris on my car. Gave me a 2" drop all the way around. Looks awesome! They weren't too bad to install (though I had help from 2 guys who had done it to their cars). I think they're around $150 from the factory (I got mine for $130 new from a classified). Color is a dark gray metallic.

im using tein for my xB but TRD is perfect for a milder drop..
