so i was at work taking a delivery. my friend was riding along and we were talking and then out of nowhere BAM i hit this HUGE hunk of concrete or rock or something.. i hit it real hard.. all with the passanger side front tire.. so now, my wheel is pretty bent (stock 15" steelie..) and the car shakes a little. so i guess tomorrow its going to the shop to see what all i need to do.

the thing is.. the tire seems completly normal its more of the little lip that is bent.. so im thinking i screwed up the alignment..

sucks.. just when i think i have the car running fine.. this ____ happens... just a few weeks ago the brakes went bad.. now this.. ughh

sorry to hear that bro. sounds like your alignment might be out, but also that wheel is probably off balanced, that is more likely the shaking that you feel.

a shop might be able to bang the wheel back into shape but if not you might want to check the local junkyards for an extra steelie.

Good luck with everything... pics if you got'em.

uhm...you know that since you were on a delivery...your boss has to pay to fix your car right?

if your job has you using your personal vehicle to perform your duties, they are liable for any damage that occurs while you are performing said duties. if they say otherwise, tell them that they can provide their own vehicle for you to do your job with.

^^^yup. unless you signed paperwork that doesn't hold them liable. read the fine print!!!

if its the wheel, you may just be able to bang it out with a BFH. steel wheels i imagine aren't expensive.

That is why you need to watch the road. Not just the traffic around you. Hope it works out.

so i went to a shop.. they checked the alignment and it was fine.. the tire is also fine.. i just bent the ____ out of the wheel.. the guy who can fix the rim isnt in until monday.. so they said they can put the bent rim in the back so that i dont feel the shaking.. so i said well.. i need the tires rotated so can you just do that too.. so they did it for free.. and he said my best bet is to find a new steelie online but if i cannot than he can get me one for like 150..

If all you need is a steelie you can get one of those used from a junkyard for under 40 bucks. Try www.car-part.com to find a yard near you that has one.

if he gets you a rim for $150 the middle part had better spin around after the car stops moving :tap:

GetScionParts.com: (I have used them before and like them) $93.50

I've got to go to work, but I'll do some more digging once I get home. Ideally, we could find a junkyard near where you live and just pry one off, for more like $29.50, but to find the right vehicle in decent condition is unlikely.

I'm surprised nobody's offered you their OEM wheels after putting rims on their box...
