Default Passenger kick panel wiring help

Hey guys, first post. I spent some time searching but couldnt find anything related. I have also searched through TRD sparks and couldnt find anything.there either.

I just installed an eclipse AVN 5435 navi/dvd head unit in our new xB. I took it out of the mustang we traded in. I decided to add sirius to it and mounted the eclipse satelite radio controller to the passenger side kick panel just above the wire harness junction block/ connector holder. The only item i have left to complete the install is finding a power wire to tap in to for the controller. I have found what appear to be some good candidates in the kick panel with my trusty volt meter. (4 wires that show 12 volts with the key on) But problem is i am not really sure what they go to and dont want to cause any problems. Anyone have any knowledge or wiring diagrams of the passenger side kick panel?

Thanks for the help!

welcome to SL. to be honest, i'm not sure what wires are back there and what they go to. what I'D do is run a wire from the back of the HU you installed that gives 12v when he HU is on. that way you're positive (no pun intended) it all goes to the same system and fuses. just my 2 cents.

Well, i got it wired up and seems that i need un unswitched power feed not the switched feed i chose (blue wire in the kick panel).. I loose all my sirius presets everytime i turn the car off. Does needing a constant power feed seem normal for a satelite radio controller? My thinking that the the unit needs power and the head unit tells it to turn off/ on.

no cause like you said it needs retention... I forgot that the bluetooth, sirius, xm and other add ons for decks need a constant wire.. You cant just hit it at the deck?
