My Christmas present arrived today. A CUSCO Type-AS front strut bar. I paid $108, no tax free shipping from http://intensepower.com.

I know its not gonna help in handling...i just feel like doing a bit of engine bay dress up.

heres a few pics since not many people have one...gonna install it later on the weekend

Ok, so i decided to install it this morning and it was quite a hassle. I hard a hard time putting on the driver side mounting hole over the bolt because there was a small tray from the wiper motors that stuck out a bit too far making it impossible to fit the mount in. I ended up cutting off a bit of the piece that stuck out and it fit with a bit of wiggling. Other than that small issue, everything else fitted perfectly. heres how they look installed, quite normal and i like the fact that its adjustable. :)

as a side note...the wiper blades were a bish to take off...

what i mean is that its not gonna be a huge noticeable difference. i dont expect it to be anything drastic.

as for CUSCO making a strut for us...its been out for a while but not many people buy it...mostly you see TRD or the DC bars.

i heard they arnt damper adjustable though. and dunno if theyll come out with a "Version 2" upgrade like they do for their other coilovers which add the damper adjust.

It will help handling, how much is the question. It should help at least a little with understear which is what the tc suffers from. Its gonna also depend on other suspension mods you have. Stiffer springs will help also. I'm in the midst of upgrading quite a bit on my 06 and as far as I'm concerned a front strut bar is a must have. Good Investment.
