few tuning issues, help please!
first of all im running emanage ultimate w/ pnp harness and a innovate lc-1 for af/r
10psi on a 20g with a PWR liquid-to-air kit
Problem im have is lean af/rs in 1st and 2nd, with rich rich af/r's in 3rd +
13's in the first 2 gears, 9-10 in the rest. Anyone know how to balance this out?
Second problem is at 5500rpm i start cutting out bad and popping, thinking its cause of the car running fat but im not 100% sure.
also on cold cold morning untill the car is warm it will not hold idle at all, i have to hold it at 1k or so rpms till the temp is passed the first line or it dies instantly, any ideas?
i can send a copy of my ultimate map to anyone who can help out. need to get this fixed cause im losing so much power with those af/rs and wasting a ton of gas. thanks

Whats your AFR's?
1st and 2nd gears run lower boost levels throught the RPMs than 3rd and so on, so your fuel trims at say, 0-3psi may be lean where they get too rich up towards 10psi.
Idle is an easy fix, if you have an AFR gauge try to get it near 14.7

my idle is at 14.7 except on cold start, thats when im having the trouble keeping it running, only when its 30 or below id say. otherwise the car starts and idles fine, i would like to raise the idle a few 100 rpms during winter if i knew how.
and my af/r's in 1st and 2nd are 12-14 makeing 9.6 psi my af/r for 3rd gear and up are 9-10 still making 9.6 psi.
when i try to put more fuel to get 2nd more rich, 3rd+ just gets worse. if i try to lean out 3rd+ same thing, 1st and 2nd just get leaner. the tune was always perfect 11.2-12.0 all gears before, i took the kit off for 2 months and now im having this issue.
There has to be a way to balance out the tune. I just cant figure it out.

^Thats most def a fuel trim issue...
The ecu has to re-compensate itself
try unplugging the battery for a few seconds and start the car with your old greddy map(before u made changes)...
do any necc. tweaks,
and drive in vacuum for a few miles (25 or so), then start getting into boost
and let the ecu make adjustments
see how it goes

It's not a greddy kit, started out as a zpi stage 0, but i upgraded to a 20g, then added the pwr kit. and everything else.
I will resetting the ECU tomorrow tho and see how it goes.

you need to get your car tuned on a load baring dyno, the issues you are encountering seem like common issues when one street-tunes a car... did you street tune your car by chance??
Also you didnt list that you had the Greddy boost pressure sensor, so your tune is based upon RPM's only and not boost. So under different load conditions your tune will be inconsistent, which is why your AF's are different from one gear to the next.

Sorry, I do have a pressure sensor, every thing is tuned psi and rpm
also, it was originaly tuned on a dyno, then the kit was taken off for a month, then put back on and raised the boost. only street tuned alittle once i seen my af/r's were out of whack to get them safe.

Well I know it needs a re-tune, thats why im trying to gather info on what is causing the issue so i can, i had the car tuned perfectly before, but never ran into this situation so i dont know how to fix it.
im not one to pay someone no more intelligent than i am a few hundred bucks when i can learn and do it myself.

I dunno, hopefully someone with some tuning experience stops in here and doesnt mind helping.

I might be wrong, but if the 20g is bigger than the ZPI stage 0, and the diff intercooler, is it possible that the turbo is pushing more air at the same amount of boost pressure, causing lean AFR's? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, but they have equipment you don't (i.e. dyno). Tell us more about your setup. Did you upgrade the injectors? Also check to make sure you have the latest software update for your Ultimate.
the only thing that has changed since before when it ran fine is the boost, from 7 to 9-10. my map was already tuned out to 12 psi so that shouldnt matter.
