View Full Version : DC Sports Strut Bar?!?! taquito 12-30-2004, 04:01 PM Hey guys and gals I just picked up the DC Sports Strut Bar Kit its tight it was 90 even and free shipping. I bet this is a nice little dress up for my motor aside from the tC. lvnurs9 12-30-2004, 04:07 PM I am ordering mine on Monday :) i64X 12-30-2004, 04:08 PM If you bought a strut bar for dress up purposes you could have saved yourself some cash and just bought a hose kit or something if you wanted to look pretty. :) Strut bars actually serve a purpose beyond looks. :) lvnurs9 12-30-2004, 04:10 PM I am getting mine for suspension purposes lol...could care less about looks, unless they serve a purpose. taquito 12-30-2004, 06:04 PM If you bought a strut bar for dress up purposes you could have saved yourself some cash and just bought a hose kit or something if you wanted to look pretty. :) Strut bars actually serve a purpose beyond looks. :) I know what it's for and believe me it will be put to use. I am just saying that it looks nice. Its Gun Metal Gray and will compliment my Turbo set up. Cant wait till next week when I get it. Something I really am curious about is the hotchkis strut kit under the car. Do you guys think it will make a difference I have noticed that the tC already has a strut set under the car I dont see how much of a difference the hotchkis brand will make. :?: DelayedTurbo 12-31-2004, 12:55 AM All a strut bar is good for in our car is looks :P.. Gambit7 12-31-2004, 03:30 AM I disagree the Strut bar tightenes up the feel of the car. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/752000-752999/752439_6_full.jpg Swanny 12-31-2004, 03:43 AM That bar looks sweet, I'm looking to get that for sure. Where did you guys order the DC Sports strut tower bar from? Boom12V 12-31-2004, 05:35 AM Where did you get your strut bar? DelayedTurbo 12-31-2004, 04:13 PM I disagree the Strut bar tightenes up the feel of the car. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/752000-752999/752439_6_full.jpg It can't, there is nothing to tighten up, its all psychological in our car. Does have a nice look but doesn't do anything for us. A sway bar does, not a strut. Gmoney 12-31-2004, 04:20 PM DT your saying that a strut bar wont help in the tC? i know in the zx2 it did! DelayedTurbo 12-31-2004, 04:26 PM DT your saying that a strut bar wont help in the tC? i know in the zx2 it did! ZX2 was built different, in the tC our car is a strut bar...hehe....in the ZX2 it could actually use one. VIP_tC 12-31-2004, 07:34 PM its 90 shipped on ebay dstyle 01-03-2005, 07:19 PM hey i just ordered mine today... i got mine from ray at wholehyper.com. for the first 5 ppl he is gonna sell it for 85 then after that 100. well now 4 ppl bc of me haha. so mine shipped would have only been 100 but tax made it 107. Salent 01-11-2005, 12:35 AM While it looks awesome, I got annoyed how the scion specific instructions, with their tc specific pictures was so wrong. 14mm not 10mm And you have to loosen all three nuts to get the studs to lower, not just two as the instructions indicate. but it does look great. mahalzkita28 01-11-2005, 05:25 PM yea delayed turbo is right, the strut towers are real close to the firewall, it might help a bit but wouldnt really notice unless you track the car... then you might feel a LITTLE bit of a difference if you really know the car well. looks good though Darkstar_TC 01-20-2005, 03:33 AM Where did u get the strut bar from?? Beantowntc 01-20-2005, 04:41 PM you can get it here http://www.creativecompacts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=CSB1403&Category_Code=SciontCSuspension ty6 01-20-2005, 05:03 PM taquito, To answer your question to the Hotchkis Sway Bars, they do make a big difference. I just installed them, and they feel great. They really help in cornering, and I've noticed a big difference. CreativeCompacts 01-21-2005, 04:29 AM All DC Sports Bars are backordered till Mid Feb Somnambulated 01-21-2005, 04:40 AM I disagree the Strut bar tightenes up the feel of the car. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/8/web/752000-752999/752439_6_full.jpg That bad looks like it's gonna rub on the engine cover. Does it? Somnambulated 01-21-2005, 04:44 AM All DC Sports Bars are backordered till Mid Feb All aftermarket parts for the tC are backordered. CreativeCompacts 01-21-2005, 04:51 AM You are correct for the most part...
