since Im planin to put my tc wheels on my xd. I want to be clear on what tire size is recommended from people who have them on already and not having my tack or speedo way off. btw my sets did not come with lug nuts. Do i need to buy tc lug nuts aswell or take them off my steelies?

cant help you with the first question, but your stock lugs will work. not sure if theres much of a problem with the speedo being off, as long as you have the stock tires the tC came with you shuold be fine. couple people on here have put tC rims on their cars and never reported a problem.

I believe with stock tc tires changes the speedo and tack by like 3-5 mph and that can cost me a ticket, not that I drive fast on every block but I wouldnt notice if im off lol

i never heard any claims of 3-5...pretty drastic..im not saying i dont believe you, i just heard personally that it wasn't much of a problem. it would be nice to know though, since i'll be getting a set as well

you should get some wheel spacers for the backs. they're gonna be pretty tucked in the back.

Sorry if this is too late - but maybe it will be helpful to someone else. I run stock tC rims on my xD in the summer (steelies with snows in the winter). When I switch wheels, my speedo doesn't vary by more than 1mph (at the most) compared to GPS-measured speed. (Note - my car speedo numbers are consistently about 4% high compared to the GPS - i.e. I'm actually going 70 when the car says 73). So I can say that speedo/odo won't be an issue with the tC wheels. I can also say that you DON'T want to use your stock lug nuts on the tC rims - the stock lugs are tapered, which is great for centering and holding on the steel wheels. (like the middle photo here: http://www.customwheelaccessories.com/SpecialtyLugNuts.jpg
But the tC rims (and lug nuts) have a flat mating surface - there's even a washer on the tC lugs.

You can imagine that you wouldn't want a tapered nut squeezing and deforming this flat surface on your nice soft alloy rims...

i run tc wheels on mine and i have different lug nuts cause i think the stock one are the traditional acorn style right? try to get stock tc lug nuts, shouldnt cost much and you know they will be perfect for the wheels.

I think this is a good idea - I forgot to mention above that I found my tC lug nuts in a different place (Craigslist) than my tC rims (ebay). So look around - maybe you'll get lucky and find some random guy parting out a tC with messed up rims, but great lug nuts. Hey, it happened to me! ;)

I'd be surprised if your sensor code is related to the wheels (unless it's the tire pressure sensor?). But if you take it to Autozone (or one of the parts places) they should read the code for you. OTOH, I've found a cheap code reader (less than $50) works just fine, outputs and resets codes, and can EASILY pay for itself with one use. Check ebay or Harbor Freight for a cheapo chinese code reader.

Well, you could remove it with new tire pressure sensors - at >$100 EACH plus installation, last I heard. :tap:
Or just learn to ignore it - whenever mine is slow to go on now, I think the dash looks too dark, and almost wonder if something's wrong! :D

yea thats what my cousin said. thought he gave me the " outrageous dealership pricing bs stuffs" since he works at nissan dealership. but yea i guess i can try ignoring it.. im usualy good after it stops blinking lol .. by is it just me but oram ii adding miles that i havent used .. seems crazy but it im getting a mile for every 3rd of a mile i drive.. did that make sense? lol

So you're saying your ODO is off with the new wheels? Can't help you with that - except to say that my odo/speedo don't change at all (well, not measurably) when I switch wheels (from snows on factory rims to nice summer tires on the tC rims).

Like Andyman said: I actually had them on and was using my stock lug nuts when I took it to the dealership for an oil change. They refused to rotate the tires before calling me and telling me it was dangerous, I can't remember EXACTLY why, but I thought they said it had something to do with the aluminum wheel and the metal lug, or something like that. Once I okayed it (I was like, a week away from putting my steelies on for winter anyway), then they would rotate and balance them.

My speedometer was off maybe 1-2 mph, but no more than that for sure.
