Now to the news!!!
We all know F/I is about efficency ..... well a GT2871r aint got nothing on this!!!!
Borg Warner s256 with .85A/R divided housing (T3 footed)
This will be the turbo for my new setup using Todd's Twinscroll Manifold with single 44mm wastgate........
these turbos support anywhere from 330-550hp!!!
as the build manifests itself data will be made availible to all you guys,
BTW.... Todd will be carrying these Turbos!!!!!

You've just learned of this turbo?
This is huge already with DSMs and Hondas.
Pretty soon we'll be seeing threads in here about how Holsets are the newest and greatest.
Regardless, you'll be happy with the S256 - that's a pretty large exhaust housing you'll be running. Your valve-train is upgraded I assume? And will be running a much higher redline?

As with them in thier quest for more power, you are always looking to alternatives to what Garret has to offer. BW is one of those alternatives and offers a few configurations that the Scion community can benefit from. Wether it be a street car setup(stock motor) to a mild build setup like the one that is happening here.
They are larger turbos than the common ones you see used here on the boards. So before people get all excited. They will not fit manifolds or downpipes currently offered to the masses. The only other manufacturer that utilizes BW units is World Racing ie the "descendant turbo kits".
They are derived from diesel turbos, hence their size and weird combinations.
But there "s" series with the extended tip compressor wheels offer a little bit more than what you would get out of a GT series turbo, and at the same time cost less.
So in theory (
) you get more for your money.
Which in this business is always a good thing.Look forward to allot more updates.
Regards-
Todd
