apparently this is too much snow for my box. So that you get an idea of how deep that is, those are 18s and I already shoveled 3 times. And it is suppose to snow for another week.
erichlf 12-31-2004, 04:50 AM Oh and it is already sitting on about 6 inches of snow.
rollotomassi 12-31-2004, 05:05 AM Where are you- North Pole?

good luck finding your box ina week lol
BlueBoxer 12-31-2004, 05:07 AM Get that box off the road, those plows are going to crush ur car man!!! A couple more days and its going to be an ICECUBE........ :D :D :D
rollotomassi 12-31-2004, 05:12 AM You're not worried about your roof buckling from the weight of the snow?
How are you getting around right now? Or are you?
It's a good thing you didn't get the white one. :)
erichlf 12-31-2004, 05:14 AM I am tired from snow shoveling. They are stupid here in Reno and probably won't plow my street, so it looks like I am going no where fast. I wish I could move it off the street but it is not going any where.
rollotomassi 12-31-2004, 05:19 AM Does it usually snow there? It snowed here (Houston, Tx) 12/24. Hasn't snowed here in roughly ten years. Snowed in Mexico. Seems like it's snowing in alot of strange places lately.
19" in southern IN, which is above the yearly average. I had a very similar picture about a week ago. If you are not already, you will be impressed by the xB's snow driving ability.

erichlf 12-31-2004, 05:58 AM Well it doesn't usually snow like this, but it usually snows. Elevation at my pace is roughly 5000ft. We are right outside of Tahoe. And not too far from where the Donner party got trapped.
meemomark 12-31-2004, 11:04 PM i remember when my box got snow in over in big bear...hahaa, i thought it was funny.
erichlf 12-31-2004, 11:08 PM Well it has finally stopped snowing for now, but I am of course still stuck right there.

Boxed_In 01-01-2005, 10:06 PM That much snow in Reno, OMG. I'm in north west Jersey and today I spent the day in 55 degree sunny weather washing and waxing my cars. All the while looking at the 15hp John Deere snowblower I have sitting idle in the garage and I'm loving every minute of it. Please keep the snow there I'd like a break this year
erichlf 01-02-2005, 12:20 AM The funny part is you guys are so surprised. We got 6' up in Tahoe. This is a major snow storm, but it does snow a lot. Just not normally all at once. This was almost as bad as the 92 storm in New Hamshire when I was 14. Had snow up to my chest. But I didn't drive then.
Max2k 01-02-2005, 01:57 AM I thought this was going to be "How does tha xBizzle handle in snizzzow>..>>???" thread #38649393. I'm glad it's not.
BOXCAR 01-02-2005, 12:01 PM  WOW! better you than me, it was 70 in dallas yesterday! supposed to be today also but raining now. have fun with the snow shovel (what do those look like anyway) ha,ha

Dwestxb 01-03-2005, 07:34 PM That's why I'm glad I have a Garage! 8)
erichlf 01-05-2005, 03:40 AM Well it looks as though we are getting another 2 feet this weekend, and I have no one here to get the snow off when I am in Panama. It has snowed every day since that picture and so I have only driven it twice since then. Coming off my street I bottomed out due to the street I live on not being plowed and the main streets being plowed. I hope when I get back from Panama there will be a warm spell that melts most of the snow we got. It look as though we will have about 5-6ft by next week.
Well depending on the weather here in Reno. It might just miss us. I'm hoping that's not the case. The box is in the garage and i'm borrowing a wrangler. btw it snowed a bunch over last weekend that my front end was plowing the street i live on, cracked some cheapie foglights i installed on the lower grill and lost the lower left corner grill part.

i just shoveled my box out of a foot of snow and thought it was bad.
that is over kill dude
erichlf 01-07-2005, 04:04 AM Well it looks like the snow had its fun with my box and cracked my windshield. Going in tomorrow to see if they will do something about it. I have only had my box 2.5 months.
Fujiz_xb 01-07-2005, 02:29 PM we should make a collection of snow covered xbs..ill post mine up soon.
yesti 01-07-2005, 03:06 PM Well it looks like the snow had its fun with my box and cracked my windshield. Going in tomorrow to see if they will do something about it. I have only had my box 2.5 months.
damn, sorry to hear that. can't beat mother nature
erichlf 01-16-2005, 02:34 AM It is so crazy looking back at that picture. Currently I am sitting here in Panama, these people donīt even really know what snow is and just 2 weeks ago I was in that. Wow.
Davestoaster 01-19-2005, 02:35 AM 3" here the other day and seeing the pic's I'd like to add........Be careful everyone of your paint when you get snow on your box. People always like to take the snow brush and get all the snow of the hood and roof and fenders. The paint on these boxes seems to scratch so easy, I only clean the windows now.
pkoule 01-19-2005, 02:54 AM Well it looks like the snow had its fun with my box and cracked my windshield. Going in tomorrow to see if they will do something about it. I have only had my box 2.5 months.
:o Snow cracked your windshield? That rots. Must have been a lot of snow!
Was it a toyota issue or an insurance issue?

Surprised Snow cracked your windshield? That rots. Must have been a lot of snow!

Well I just got back to the states. I didn't get a chance to find out what Toyota would do for me before due to another snow storm that was actually bigger than the one in the puc. I am going to see if Toyota will do anything for me when I get the chance.. I doubt they will but I will update.

DStewart 01-21-2005, 10:23 PM Then we finally get rid of the snow, now we can't get rid of the fog.
Been slippery because of it. but who would have guessed that we'd get such a wonderful array of weather to drive in.
erichlf 01-21-2005, 10:37 PM Yeah what is with the fog. This winter has been so weird here in Reno. Fog everyday, and brown looking fog no less.
Yo Eric. Did you get the windshield fixed???? Best deal in town is glass pro.
erichlf 02-20-2005, 09:28 PM Nope my window is still cracked. I am just too busy. And scion said there was a pit, so not covered under waranty.
By the way my first name is actually Erich.
XBman 02-20-2005, 09:53 PM dude i went to mammoth this past weekend !!!! crazy sno!
erichlf 02-20-2005, 09:56 PM I get to do a snow pack survey next week up at Mt Rose. I am betting there is about 20'+.
I bet it is that deep. Had to put chains going over the pass on sunday but didn't have to coming back. now there's snow/slush falling outside. heh my mistake erich. go to glasspro for the windshield, cheapest place in town.
